While we're on the subject of storage stuff, what is the thing underneath the center arm rest with a number 1 and 2 by the two holes (on the passenger side of the center arm rest)? It looks like maybe to hold a ruler or something like that, but I can't tell what the picture is.
I think it's to hold the cover for the map slot pocket (next to the cup holders), but I've never tried it.

Mine is jammed closed. I have business cards in it but I cant get to them. I hate to go to the dealership for such a small defect. It pops down but only a 1/4", i don't dare pull on it too hard.

Ah, just pull on it. What's the worst that can happen? You've probably got a couple business card wedged in there.

I have a Sears garage door opener. I built up the base on the holder with stick tape and then set the remote with velcro. Works great, expecially since I don't need to have the remote control clipped on to the visor for everyone to see it.
