Anybody found a good use for the business card holder in the overhead console. My SR-5 Crewmax does not have home link and I have been thinking of mounting my garage door opener in there. My thought if I can find something to work as button extension, is to drill through the card door and have like a custom home link.

I think the space it too tight - I keep a sheet of postage stamps there. My garage door opener is Velcroed into the next overhead (sunglass holder) and fits perfect and is out of sight

Yea I have already determined I would have to cut the tab out. I would probably find out how much a replacement is incase things went wrong. Plastic can be a pain to work with at times. But besides that my Genie remote comes close to fitting already.

My garage door opener (Wayne Dalton brand) fit right in there, no drilling or anything. The opener came with a belt clip and I've got it clipped onto the card holder.

I keep my Toyota salesmans cards in there. If I get someone to go to him and buy, I get $100 bucks. Better than a sharp stick in the eye.

I have a Genie Garage Door Opener and I just put some Velcro on the remote and on the inside of the card holder. Works GREAT. However, then I installed the auto-dim mirror with Homelink so now I have two ways to open the stupid garage door.

And I thought that this is what it really was for.
While we're on the subject of storage stuff, what is the thing underneath the center arm rest with a number 1 and 2 by the two holes (on the passenger side of the center arm rest)? It looks like maybe to hold a ruler or something like that, but I can't tell what the picture is.
