Seriously . . .
The dude is really cool, super helpful and very detailed oriented. I was very happy with the time and effort he took to get this project done. Also, we talked "Tundra" for a while so that ate up some time.
I LOVE the way the lighst came out. Freaking Awesome IMO . . .
It is a project that requires patience and time. Don't fool yourself plan on a full day if you have never done before.

Big thumbs up to Double 0 Six.
So does that mean that I can ask you for help on mine??? j/k. how do you like your lights compared to his... I believe you used a glossy and he didnt. Which do you think came out better? just trying to decide what I want to go with. I was even looking at the metallic black, but donno yet.

Sure I can try! :-) I like the gloss cause my truck is black. 006s truck looks good with flat cause of the of his white truck, but I think gloss or matte would look good. You won't really notice unless you are pretty close to the truck.
The only comments I would make to his directions are to wrap or cover all parts not in use . . . so they don't get dust in them. Other than that his instructions are really good.
I would say flat on the color. But I am sure you would like either one!
Hmm, I was thinking gloss. My logic being that if gloss looks good on a black truck, slate isn't too different. But now I'm going to have to think about it some more.
Krylon Fusion comes in flat, satin and gloss finish. IMO, satin looks best for most applications, with the sole exception being gloss for the black truck.

Satin just being like a mix of flat and gloss, right? Maybe that would be the right choice for a Slate Metallic...
EDIT: Just picked up some Krylon Fusion satin black. Will be starting my headlights as soon as I watch through 006's video again.
Did mine in Rustoleum flat black. Pics are in my gallery. Eventually, I'd love to replace all of the chrome on the truck.

I did dark grey flat on my silver truck. Looks Awesome... However this mod is so easy that if you don't like it you can start all over and try anther color...... I'm keeping my eyes ope for a black opal (a dark/chrome look)
