having a diesel at present, is not cost effective, given the their fuel mileage numbers todate and the cost of fuel.
Yup paid today $3.69 a gallon lucky me was for the company truck,ouch.

Actually, just based on fuel cost, and mpg, it is advantageous to have the Toyota diesel, assuming they will be using the 4.5l D4D turbo diesel that is in use in the LC overseas. It gets nearly 50% better mpg than the 4.7l petrol. Australia economy figures went from 16mpg gas to 23.X mpg in the diesel. that means fuel costs break even if gas is $3.20, and diesel is $4.80. Of course that isn't taking into account, the unknown cost of the diesel option.
