Default 2008 Interior: Please advise!

I am not having second thoughts about my new Tundra that can be transfered to my dealer for purchase this week. All I can seem to find is the grey interior with the salsa red pearl. I really want the black fabric but it is not available ANYWHERE. The dealer said the only way to get it is to order it... Is this the way to go, should I suck it up and pay 30K for a truck that I think is SO close to perfect. The truck that is available now has everything I want except for the black interior (it is grey) and I have seen one with the tan which I am not partial to. HELP!!

6 months from now you really wouldn't care what color the interior is

I second the motion to get it and install black leather....or if you really want the fabric I'm sure someone can do that too.

Yeah, if the truck is so close I would get it and have it wrapped in leather by Katskins. If you dont want leather then I'd wait and order it and get it exactly how you want it. I've skimped on options in the past and have always regretted it. If youre going to keep this truck for 5-6 years, then whats another couple months wait to order it and get it just how you want it.

I was just worried about the grey being so light in color and showing more dirt. Also, I plan on color matching the gauge and shifter bezels that are silver with the salsa red pearl exterior color and that would look MUCH better with the black interior. As I have been informed by multiple dealers in my area, there are NO black interior trucks at ALL! This seems weird considering black is a common interior color goes VERY well with red and obviously black trucks.

Funny thing. When I went truck shopping I wanted a Silver truck with gray interior. But then I seen the exact same trucks sitting side by side. One with gray interior and one with ALL black interior. I purchased the all black interior one. Go Figure

BTW the all black is harder to keep clean. It really shows lint and HAIR ! ! !

Hmmm, your interior looks SOOO much better than the grey, but I can kinda see the hair and lint thing being a problem eventually. I just like that the headliner and all the panels except the bezels (gauge and shifter) are black...

I have been through your process. I ended up ordering the black interior. It took a couple of weeks to get a build date which I recieved at the start of last week. Build date is February 4th. Should ship to Colorado in 10-20 days. I really didn't like any other interior except black, will add leather after I get it. The tan interior seems to have a wierd green/brown color on the top of the dash. Red rock just doesn't look right to me. Grey is ok, but seems to be to busy.

My personal preference was to wait, but trust me waiting really sucks.

The headliner is black? I thought all Tundras were light in color from the middle of the cab up...why would the A, B, and C pillars be light, just to have a black liner? Seems odd.

Yep, the hair and lint are a problem currently on my 2007 Tundra. Happens only on the drivers side, naturally. LOL! Nothing a lint brush cannot solve though.

Sanosuke!

Well since I don't know what will happen to the rebates, and this truck is exactly what I want besides the grey interior (which isn't the end of the world), I am going to pull the trigger on the one that is already local and have it transfered. Price is right (500 over invoice) and I might even get them to throw in the bug guard for the front. Grey doesn't look that bad as it is, just kinda wanted black!

I've got a black CM with all black interior and black Katzkin leather. I special ordered it since the only option they offered when I was looking was tan. There are some pics in my gallery and some more here:

Get the truck you want because you do not want to regret it every time you open the door.
