I really want to put 37's on this beast because i don't think 35's are big enough. I know that on a 2wd you can run the 6inch lift and some spacers and be fine with 37's but you can't run the 6inch lift and spacers on a 4wd. So does anyone out there have 37's on a 6inch lifted tundra??

Re: Is anyone running 37's on a 4wd lifted Tundra?
I've seen it done on a 4x4 crewmax at some dealer. Looks good! According to the shop that does it for the dealership some minor cutting needs to be done in order for no rubbing to occur.

Were you planning on regearing or upgrading the brakes? Thats alot of extra rotation that will have a huge impact on steering, mpg and stopping. Big tires cost big money on a rig and wears down parts fast. Something to think about.

With what it would cost for tires, lift and wheels, you could buy a badass used trail rig and use the Tundra to get it to the trails and back. Everytime I think about lifting mine, this is what stops me.

Yeah i have thought about that and i will upgrade the brakes when the time comes. I know ill be taking a hit in mpg but i think the way it will work is worth it. I plan on putting dual steering stabilizers on it so steering shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Is anyone running 37's on a 4wd lifted Tundra?
I just put 37s on my truck last night. It is a 2wd but has the same kit as a 4wd. I only have minor rubbing. Sorry for the quality of the pics its super windy here and i cant get a good one.

Not knocking your wants, just pointing out that stabilizers only mask issues, they don't resolve anything. Proper steering setup works well because it's setup that way, not because it's restricted by stabilizers from errant movement. We see that on our trail rigs (not 07/08 Tundras btw...) all the time, some of us don't even run stabilizers with 35"+ tire sizes.

That looks killer. Was it the 6" lift? What kind of tires are those?

How do you plan on setting this up on a rack and pinion setup? I've only seen it on tie rods and drag links

The new effective gear ratio would be 3.75. It would seem that unless your towing, the performance should be reasonable and the new oversized brakes introduced on the 07 should handle the truck itself.

Your rig looks awesome! How does it drive with the big meats? How's the acceleration, braking, MPG, and towing compared to stock?
