TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "First Post - Howdy", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Haven't taken delivery yet, but should get an 2wd SR5 Crewmax next week.
It's been great reading all the posts.
I'm coming out of a '01 F-250 diesel crewcab. Man, I love that truck but I spent way too much of my free time modding and tinkering with. And way too much time on the Ford-Trucks.com 7.3L forum.
My wife was glad to see me get something I couldn't spend all my time modding --- and then I found this forum. Woooohooooo.

Give us some info on your last truck? What all mods did you do to it? Power? How fast compared to this truck?

Rockstate,
My last truck was a 7.3L diesel. I mainly stuck to a tuner chip, exhaust and intIake. Oh, and I replumbed the fuel system - the one in the 7.3L stunk.
I'm sad to see my diesel go, but looking forward to the 5.7L gas engine. Haven't taken delivery yet, but test drove one a couple nights ago. Wow, I'd really gotten used to turbo lag -- not in that 5.7L.
Me too; Im a ex-owner of a F250, you will soon forget about the diesel troubles and a smile will always be with you, welcome a board. This is a great bunch. congratulations.
