Default Schematic for center console

I would like to install a switch to turn on tailgate camera without being in reverse. Can someone post a schematic of the wiring in the shift console? And also will the camera show on the NAV screen automaticly when camera powers up or does it have to be switched on? Does the NAV have video inputs for an outside video source? (want to mount a camera on back of travel trailer) Thanks in advance for all replies

If you do rig some sort of switch, you flip it, your reverse lights will come on. Your reverse position tells the nav to turn on the backup camera. I dunno if thats for sure, but I strongly do think so. One easy way I could think of is to find where the gear position unit is, most likely on the side of the transmission, and go in there with a tester with the truck in the R position and see what wire has power. Then rig a switch from that wire to the battery or a positive current and try it.
