Default 2007 vs 2008 Toyota Bed extender differences?

Silly question I'm sure, as I believe the '07 and '08 Tundra's are exactly the same. HOWEVER, that being said, how come nobody lists the Factory bed extender online to for the '08's ?

Is there just a single Bed extender for all Tundra's '07-'08 all bed configurations?

Quick question? I have a truck camper that fits my truck with the tailgate down. If I drive say 300 miles with my tailgate down, can I expect to get rock chips thrown from the tires? I hear a lot of you mention the bed extender and am wondering if you guys get tailgate damage? Should I take it off? Thanks in advance for any comments.

Rick

I have drove mutiple trips with it down, some 800 miles, some 300 miles....not one single chip in my tailgate yet.
If you look at this angle, there is no direct line from the tires to the gate.

and another for fun...

Thanks for the reply. Would you feel safe if it was a lot of gravel roads and you had mud terrain tires? Thanks for any replies.
