TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Amassing quite a collection of stuff", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Last night while rat-holing (hiding!) more stuff from my wife to eventually install in my Tundra, I realized I had quite a collection that will end up requiring me to take a week off of work to install! So far I have:
(2) Alpine SPR-17S component sets
(1) Alpine PDX-4.100 amplifier
(1) Alpine PDX-1.600 amplifier
(1) Alpine SWX-1043D 10" sub
(2) Monster 1 farad capacitors
(100) sqft of Dynamat Extreme
miles of 1/0, 4/0 12AWG wire for power and speakers
(2) 4'x8'x.75" MDF for sub enclosure
(1) Vector 1500W power inverter
(1) set 4 ga power wires for inverter
(1) remote on/off switch for inverter
(2) REALLY COOL weatherproof receptacle enclosures for 120VAC receptacles to be installed on truck exterior
(2) seat heater kits from heatedseats.com
What I still want but can't find or haven't got so far is:
OEM seat heater switches (80.00 each @ stealership)
OEM inverter on/off switch (80.00 each @ stealership)
OEM 120VAC receptacles (40.00 receptacle, 40.00 for surround)
Dash LED mod
Auto up/down on all windows (my Civic had it for cripes sake!)
Radio - VHF/GMRS/???
Warn powerplant (combo winch/air compressor)
High output alternator
Headrest DVD system (1 player, 2 monitors)
What am I missing?? Can anyone see a reason why I'm ratholing this stuff?! I gotta thank everyone on this board for all of the great information I've gotten that has caused me to spend all of my mad money! Keep it coming!
We have the opposite problem here. I don't have to "hide" anything, I've been a single parent for the last 12-13 years. My problem is I can't afford to get many mods for my truck . Someday ...................

Fuzzy dice? How about the NEON fuzzy dice?!
Sorry about the fundage probs...at least you got the baddest truck on the street!!
haven't figured on the total investment yet, but I've been pulling little wads of cash from my little hidey-holes here and there so no credit card statements to leave behind as evidence. If I'm ever grilled, I'll just tell her that I've been hitting some really good garage sales!
No head unit plans as yet. In an attempt to go 'stealth', I'm hoping that the sound quality will be acceptable. If not, then I don't know what I'll do for a h/u. AVIC or Alpine IVA-W205???
As far as other stuff, I'm DYING for a turn-key HID/projector retrofit solution. When I was on the Civic boards (when my wife still had my ball$) there was an outfit that all of those guys were using...they would send in their stock headlight housings and donor projectors and HID ballasts, and back would come awesome housings. Anyone know who that was or someone else in the same biz?

it will sound as good as the weakest link, HU in that case.
