TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "ReadyLift", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I am still on the fence as to which lift or leveling kit to buy. Those of you that installed the 2.4" Readylift, I have three questions:
1. Did you install differential drop spacers? Are they necessary?
2. Did it change the ride at all?
3. Did you do anything to the rear, or does it look perfectly level without, or better yet, slightly nose down? (PICS please!)
Thanks in advance!

I installed a Readylift 2.5" leveling kit on my CM 4x4. It looks exactly level from the side. It has a much more aggressive look from the front. Viewing it from the back though it looks like the back end is tilted down. It especially looks butt down when the bed is filled with a load from Lowe's or Home Depot. I am going to intall a 1" spacer in the back so it doesn't have a butt down appearance. I know that there is a 3"front/1"rear kit (Truexx)available. The ride is unchanged.
readylift is the ****....Mine never looks butt down. The front is slightly lower which to me gives the perfect look. Rides just as good as stock if not better. Less body roll in turns

IMO it's always worth the few extra $$ for a differential and driveshaft drop. In my case it was mandatory with the amount of lift I did.
In terms of type of lift, I recommend staying away from spring pre-load kits because they only make the bed-bounce worse. Dumping my original Revtek along with changing the rake helped reduce my bed bounce dramatically. I just changed out the rear shocks, which will hopefully get rid of my bed bounce altogether. It will be a couple weeks before I get over to I-10 in California to test it.
I thought my lean around high speed corners would be worse being taller and dropping the Revtek preload, but it actually feels the same, maybe even slightly firmer than stock, so I lucked out.

Rear Susp: ProComp ES3000 #326510 (2.25" taller than stock), 1.25" blocks plus PRG mini-pack (http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...and-new-truck/) gives 2.25" total lift, parking brake cable bracket spacers, wheel well height 43."
Front diff and rear ds drop; trailer hitch electrical harness tucked up above bumper.
After 20K miles swapped 305/65/18 BFG AT for 285/75/18 Toyo AT, still on stock 18x8x60 offset TRD wheels, about 1/8" clearance to sway bar. Like the extra height but miss the width. Next time either 305/70/18 or 35x12.50/18.
Added 5th 285/75/18 Toyo AT as spare. Foam pad above spare to help with bed bounce.
Bed Bounce: Stiffer E-tires are worse than stock P-metric; biggest improvement from PRG mini-pack, slight improvement from shocks and foam pad above spare. Still a stiff ride but tolerable now.
Best things about this truck: 5.7 and transmission, interior size and comfort, very quiet at high speed.
Worst things about this truck: bed bounce, no VSC in 4wd, mileage sucks above 70.

ride is unchanged , truck sits level and looks much better. Comes with very good step by steph instructions if you plan on doing it yourself. Heres come pics.
ride is same and very level (almost too level). going to install 1" blocks or supersprings or both. its ok if you dont tow really heavy things, but if you tow alot like 4wheelers or boats etc. you will need a little lift in the back. pics in gallery on stock tires. 305 bfg coming in a week.
