Default Warning labels?

Can you peel the ones off of the sun visor or will it mess them up? and will the government come to my house and abduct me in my sleep?

Those stickers bug me also, but they almost look like they are part of the fabric. I thought about trying to remove them with a heat gun...then had second thoughts and left them alone. I think the government agents will be more busy going after those guys screwing around with their TPMS systems than trying to mess with decal removers!

those tags are for the merchant, not the consumer.

I took all mine off. So did a ton of other people. After a few weeks/months in the sun, it looks fine. Here's PistolPete's guide to removing the stickers.

Default Re: Warning labels?

I added this one:

eBay Motors: WARNING STICKER kit for 07 06 05 Lifted Toytota Tundra! (item 300185676542 end time Dec-28-07 13:52:30 PST)

It's stuck to the back of the passenger visor.

Only my son (9 yrs old) has noticed it so far. . .

Yes...it can be done, carefully!! One of the first things I take a look at when I purchase a new vehicle. Some can be removed, some can't. The ones on the Tundra are applied just like the ones on my 2001 Vette (which I removed also). Trick is to get a corner started and with gentle, even pressure peel the label off. Two of the three on the Tundra came off in one sheet with no glue residue left behind (the ones on the drivers side). For some reason the passengers side was a bit more difficult. That label torn into several pieces as I tried to peel it back. Finally got it all off, but it left quite a bit of glue behind. Used GOO GONE to remove it (doesn't stain the gray fabric). Smells a bit funky for awhile, but that goes away in 12-24 hours. Try this at your own risk!!! Worked for me, but I can't guarantee you'll have the same results. Here are some pics.....

hey Dave, does that drivers side visor have a light under the mirror flap? If it doesn't, I wonder if that visor would fit in my '05. hmmm...

did you put those over the stock ones? I wanted to get those but the stock ones are lot bigger and the new ones did not fit flush over them

No I left the stock ones all there, but there isn't one on the passenger side when you flip it down to block the sun. I left the other ones there because I don't really pay attention to them and I don't want to have to deal with any messy gluey residue.

That was my first mod. I used the same careful corner peel method as Tampadave for the driver side. The passenger side wasn't as easy so I used a hair dryer and it pulled off with ease. It just looks like the fabric is slightly raised and a tiny bit lighter color in the area the sticker was but I am happy with the result. Before I took them off, I felt like I was being nagged every time I glanced at the visor. Much more peaceful in the truck now.
