Default Bull-Bar...Chrome or Black?!?!?

I have a white DC that I want to install a bull-bar on. I can't decide between chrome or black. I have a hookup for powder coating so I can realistically get any bull-bar in the market and just have it coated to be black. I just have to decide on what style, and if I want it to be chrome or black. You guys help me decide!

Here is basically what my truck would look like (minus the bug deflector) with a black mesh grille insert (which I will be installing as well), and a black bull-bar:

And here it is with a black mesh grille insert and chrome bull-bar:

The bull-bar in the pic is much like Westin's Ultimate Bull-Bar w/ lights. I have been leaning towards that one but I have found a few others within a 3 minute search on ebay that also would be cool:

And the Westin one:

So...which one? And black or chrome!?

Too much chrome...
I'd go with black, should make your headlight mod really "pop"

black to match your black bug gaurd and black mesh grill. I think chrome only looks good on the Limiteds, because they have a painted bumper. Since you have the chrome bumper, a chrome bullbar just makes it look too much, also kinda just blends away,

I was leaning towards black already, glad I wasn't crazy.

Now to decide which one to get....the Westin obviously comes in black as you see in the picture. The first one (on the green Tundra) comes in black as well. So my next question...which style?

Default Re: Bull-Bar...Chrome or Black?!?!?

although I'm not a fan of chrome (coming from BMW world were de-chroming is a must!), I must say that chrome front bar would be the only logical match (except maybe brushed SS) especialy on SR5. unless you had black truck.

IMO black bar would look too much as an after thought. again, this is coming from someone that's a fan of de-chroming. I'm considering putting bull bar on my tundra one day as a bumper protection for street parking (occasional trips to NYC) and I wouldm't consider anything else that chrome or brushed SS for my slate sr5.

I can't believe what I'm about to say, but, I like the chrome one on your truck. Goes well with the chrome bumper, kind of seemless. Black looks like it just doesn't belong there.

Don't stop at ebay only man. There are tons of distributers out there for bullbars. Especially in TX. But if you buy out of state, you might be able to avoid sales taxes.

Check out rockymountainsusp.com they have some good prices. Also check our TS.com preferred dealers.

ps. go chrome.

Well, to be honest they both look good IMO, which is why I couldn't decide. When I said I was leaning towards black, it was only slightly :P

I can't decide really. I should make it a poll huh?

i like the chrome for you.. i have a color keyed bumper, white also, and think that black would look best on mine b/c of the black/white theme I have going on in the front. i want a black bull bar, but i think i want the skid plate to be chrome. but if i didnt have the sport model and had any chrome on the front, i would get the full chrome bull bar.
