TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Question regarding Toytec 2" front lifts.", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I recently purchased the 2" front lift, and a front diff drop kit.
Does anybody have pictures with the 2" spacers lift designed for front leveling without lifting the rear.
I am considering returning, and going with 2.5" with rear block kit.
if i stay with the 2" will my front end sick up While pulling my dirt bikes and my gear in the back of the truck.
Thanks exc200
Measure your front and back fender wells. You will probably find 36" front, 39.5" rear stock. Adding just 2" to the front you will still have rake, just not as much as stock. I added 4" to the front of mine and only 2.25" to the rear, but my back is still 1" higher than the front when empty. When you look at my pictures, though, it's not as obvious as a stock truck there is still a difference in height front to rear.

Rear Susp: ProComp ES3000 #326510 (2.25" taller than stock), 1.25" blocks plus PRG mini-pack (http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...and-new-truck/) gives 2.25" total lift, parking brake cable bracket spacers, wheel well height 43."
Front diff and rear ds drop; trailer hitch electrical harness tucked up above bumper.
After 20K miles swapped 305/65/18 BFG AT for 285/75/18 Toyo AT, still on stock 18x8x60 offset TRD wheels, about 1/8" clearance to sway bar. Like the extra height but miss the width. Next time either 305/70/18 or 35x12.50/18.
Added 5th 285/75/18 Toyo AT as spare. Foam pad above spare to help with bed bounce.
Bed Bounce: Stiffer E-tires are worse than stock P-metric; biggest improvement from PRG mini-pack, slight improvement from shocks and foam pad above spare. Still a stiff ride but tolerable now.
Best things about this truck: 5.7 and transmission, interior size and comfort, very quiet at high speed.
Worst things about this truck: bed bounce, no VSC in 4wd, mileage sucks above 70.
I would like to know the same thing! I think I am going to do the 2" up front and nothing in the rear! any pics of this would great Thanks!
Just jack your front by 2" and you can see it on your own truck. I did a lot of experimenting like that before settling on the lift I have.

if you go with just the 2" front kit what size tire will you put on?

I am running BFG AT 285/65/ 18" wheels, stay on the conservative side. installing the 2" set up next week. I got tires first, I couldn't stand the stock tires.
just installed the sky jacker 2 inch up front and it looks good, if i were to do it again i would put the 2.5 up front and nothing in the rear, the 2 inch does the trick but i wish i would have gone a .5 more, i am gonna run some 305 40 22 on some kmc in about a week or two, i let you know if it rubs
exc200 thanks if you get any pic please post. This is the way i am going because i still want to fit the truck into my garage. I was just thinking about going with a 275/70/18 nitto at. thanks again
right on, anytime, I plan on posting before and after. this will be my late mod for a while, dirt bike season is coming, I could be riding a new bike with all the money I have spent on my truck this winter.
can't wait to level it out.
