Default Speed Dial on NAV Unit

On my 2008 Crewmax witht he Nav Unit.............

On the speed dial screens.............you have speed dial 1 thru 3. On the Speed Dial 1 Screen...........the box on the lower right looks as if it has some other function. Anyone else ever experience this or have I done something wrong?? I have looked through the book with no success. I have tried to enter a number with no luck either.

Thanks in advance.

In SPEED DIAL 1, the box on the lower right which appears blank is for the last call (I don't know if it's ONLY for the last dialed out call, or if it is for any call incoming or outgoing). It's especially handy if you dialed out a number that is not in your speed dial and you need to call them again. The box on the lower right in this section is NOT able to be set as a speed dial, as the nav unit is programmed to leave that space open for the last call. Hope that answered the question.

That's why smart people invented this forum. For all the stupid little things that the gigantic book doesn't cover...Glad I could assist.
