Getting jba installed mon.

Well i decided to have a professional do the header install. Its getting done monday and they are removing the rear two cats for $4-500 for everything at the most or so they said... Pretty good deal? what u guys think?

Keep us updated! I plan on running the exact same set up and am very interested to hear how it turns out. You will be my hero if you post some sound clips after you do this, I am dieing to find out if headers and removing the second set of cats wakes up the Corsa a bit! That price sounds a bit steep, but I guess it is quite a bit of work and I'm sure it'll be worth it! Thanks

Ya man i deff will. If it still doesnt sound how i want i might just have to take all cats out and put in some high flow cats and fabricate a pipe connecting headers to exhaust, so it will be like my own set of long tubes. I think it should sound sweet along with a noticable increase in power. i jus hope the install goes ok without any problems... Im in college and dont have all kinds a money to be spending on unexpected problems

I would be careful with getting a quote on something like headers. Some shops like to give you a conservative quote to get you to come in and get the work done and then half way through when they run into some trouble and have some trip ups they need more time, more tools, more parts, and more money. Keep a close eye on the install and make sure they aren't dickin you around. Can't wait to hear how it sounds though. Post clips asap!

Ya thats what i told em cause believe me i know! they said if it goes over 500 they will certainly call b4 but he doesnt see it happening. I was quoted 450 to put my six inch lift on then when i went to pick it up they said it was 900. I could not believe it i was so pissed i almost punched the guy in the face. I did not have that money to spend, they could have at least called..so i had to run around and gather up another $450 i was not happy

thats when you have a spare set of keys, get in your truck and drive the F**K out of the shop....throwing the $450 they quoted you in their face is optional.....
I had a wrecker company try to dick me around when I got town, even though I had permission to park where I was. They got all pissy with me and tried to extort $350 for towing it 15 miles down the street. They changed their tuned when I badged them and told them I would report them to the county commission.....luckily they cared as they had the county contract. Problem solved, only $90 wasted!

Lol thats really what i shoulda done i was seriously close 2 draggin him outside and giving him a $450 beating. I was in the YMCA with my gf one time and stupid me when i got there was plenty of room so i took up two spaces...but anyway i look out the window and half my truck was up on a tow truck. I ran out there pretty pissed as u might imagine and the guy said i had to pay a hundred dollars to get him not to tow it. It would have been 50 but the first truck that came couldnt get my "monster truck" on so they had to call a second. needless to say i had no cash but luckily my gf had a 100 dollar bill so it didnt get towed that sucked

I thought as long as more parts weren't needed that most quotes were good to plus 20% or less. Didn't know they COULD charge you more without calling. Thats how my dealer works!

I am also going the way of professional installation. I found a shop that will do it for fairly cheap. I may have them remove a set of cats as well...
