TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "1 year anniversary", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Well, I just celebrated my 1 year anniversary with my Tundra. I am happy to report, No broken cam shafts, no faulty torque converter, no tailgate failure, my rear propeller shaft was properly heat treated, and I continue to get a big "ear to ear" grin, every time I get to drive my truck!! Just wanted to share my story for those who may have been discouraged from buying a Tundra!!

i'm coming up on the one year anniversary with my tundra. It has been great. We only argue every 5000 miles when it's time for an oil change. Besides that, it is bliss.

How many miles do you have on that pick-up? Got a feeling there are some owners with high miles and reliability answers. I bought this Tundra with high hopes of no problem ownership.
My first year will be coming up next month. Only problem I had was a dash rattle on the upper left side (due to a misfit the dealer said). Other than that, this is my first truck so I really don't have anything else to compare it to, but it is an excellent truck!
Same here... It has been almost a year, truck has 13600 miles with no issue. Still has a recall to bring in my 4x4 (next oil change). Truck is rock solid, tow 23' cruiser boat once or twice a month, no problem.
Feb 26 will be one year for me. So far no problems, except my driver power door lock quit working for 3 days. Had to use the key to get in. Now it is back to normal. Oh wel! 10500 no tranny, cam, or anything else (knock on wood). I probally going to treat the truck to a flowmaster muffler and some dual pipes for its birthday. Then summer a full make over lift wheels and tires. It should be happy!

Mine is coming up in May which also happens to be my birthmonth. I'll be ordering Alcan leaf springs in the next few weeks and hopefully it'll be installed before May. It takes a while for them to make the springs. Love the truck. Washed, waxed and detailed the truck today. Looks like new again at 8,400 something miles on the odo. Oh yeah, a Garmin GPS would be perfect.
I just had my one year anniversary as well - about 13,000 trouble-free miles. Nothing broke or fell off the truck, just passed the rear propeller recall test, I still love this truck.
Just saw an article this morning from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Tundra was the only truck that passed their safety tests!

1 year in May. It was a Mothers Day present for my Wife. 20,550 miles and nothing but pleasure.
Proud to drive it and glad it's not a Ford/Chevy/or/Dodge!!!
