Default Question about TRD package...

I have ordered a CM 5.7 Limited 4x4 and it hasn't made it to the distribution center to get the extras yet. Debating with myself if I should get the TRD package. Isn't it just shocks or shocks and wheels with badging? Also have questions about warranties and prices if anyone can help. Thanks

I feel the TRD package is well worth the price, The sliding window, shocks, fog lights, skid plate, tires, decal and oh yea, NICE wheels...Its 1500 bucks in my area for the whole package..Good Deal, price it separately, no brainer

I think its well worth it also. I liked the TRD wheels better than the standard ones. My truck is a Limited also so the TRD package was only $104. Wasnt a very tough choice for me either.

Congrats on the new truck!!

Thanks! I can't get a hold of my dealer at the moment so I will ask you guys, Do all dealerships offer a 100,000 mile warranty (powertrain of course and not third party)?

Yes, but don't pay more than a $1000 for it.

Called Troy. He is awesome. Someone should send him a fruit basket or something for doing this. How is he making a profit? Glad a good dealer found his way onto the forums. Thanks MXSJW!

By distribution center, you mean Gulf States Toyota Port centers, and yes, this is where some of the items are added. But, the TRD is a factory option only.

I would not buy the TRD package because of those awful decals. I bought my Limited with the optional 20 inch wheels and skid plates if that is all you need.

I just got off the phone with the dealer and yes it is too late to add it. Some said it was only 100 bucks to add it, well the dealer told me almost 2000 bucks. I like others look on toyota website and build the tundra, If you click on trd package it says 74 bucks. I had no idea that it was a different suspension all together because of the $74 seemed to low. Now I have a little regret but do plan on putting a lift and or leveling kit after my 1st set of tires need changed, which might render the TRD suspension usless anyway or stashed in a corner in the garage. I do have a ton of questions about lifts mainly because I don't know what is offered and the differences as far as handling is concerned.

Mine will be black. Thirdhorseman's ride is nice and I would like to head in that cosmetic direction but not quite as far as he has...Too much $$$$!!

Beer would be better than a fruit basket. Maybe some Southern Comfort too.
