Default Uugh...I need help.

So I installed the darn Hella fog lights and did not fully finish the wiring...by finish I mean fully make them weather proof against rain, etc...So today it has been pooring all day and still is right now and I went to turn on the Hella 500 fogs and they didn't come on. Just wondering if you guys had any ideas as to what the problem might be...I'm sure it has something to do with the pooring rain...I think the wire connections to the Hellas on the light bar are still slightly exposed so maybe that caused it to blow a fuse?? You guys think maybe I just need to replace the fuse and everything will be okay?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks I know you guys will come through.

Default Re: Uugh...I need help.

unless you left positive and negative fully exposed and could somehow be connected by a drop of water, then i dont think it could have been damaged that badly?

My thought would be just a fuse blew out maybe from the power source to the light. Check your fuse between where the lights are and the power source.

Thats just my though. In my accord, I used to wire things all the time and used electric tape to cover the exposed wires ... 8 years and never had a problem like that. BUT when i installed my friends HID's on his Motorcycle, the fuse kept going out bc of the electric output/input from the HIDs... he had factory 10 fuse and we just bumped it up to 15 and he's had it for over 2 years without problems

Good luck!

Thanks for the help. I also think a fuse blew...Its still raining but when it dries up I'm going to go out and inspect the wiring and fuses. I hope its just a fuse. Knew I should've fully finished the job all at once. Oh well. Thanks again.
