This is a discussion thread titled "Dash Beeps", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I have a Tunda DC Limited with GPS, JBL radio. I get an intermittent electronic beep coming from behindthe passenger side dashboard. It is somewhat muffled but audible. Because it is intermittent and only occurs while the truck is in motion I can't detect it's origin.
There's no effect on the vehicle (yet). Anyone have this or know anything about it?
No. I've taken everything from the glove boxes. Had my wife sit in the back seat to listen. The tone is very soft. Nothing like the annoying seatbelt alarm. It is muffled enough so that it is not audible at highway speeds due to road noise. (65 mph).
Just a wild thought. Do you have the park distance sensors? Maybe it is related to them. I know mine were going off yesterday when I had ice on the bumper. Had to turn them off.
I appreciate the idea, but no I don't have the parking sensors; just back up camera. I'm thinking there's something within the dash wiring signalling a low voltage of some kind. Just a wild thought on my part too, because I have NO idea whats going on.
Anybody know what is the beep that happens when the truck hits a pothole? Last Sunday, I drove up into the Olympic National Forest. The "road" had so many deep potholes that you could not avoid them.

While going around a corner or hard on the gas? VSC.

Rear Susp: ProComp ES3000 #326510 (2.25" taller than stock), 1.25" blocks plus PRG mini-pack (http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...and-new-truck/) gives 2.25" total lift, parking brake cable bracket spacers, wheel well height 43."
Front diff and rear ds drop; trailer hitch electrical harness tucked up above bumper.
After 20K miles swapped 305/65/18 BFG AT for 285/75/18 Toyo AT, still on stock 18x8x60 offset TRD wheels, about 1/8" clearance to sway bar. Like the extra height but miss the width. Next time either 305/70/18 or 35x12.50/18.
Added 5th 285/75/18 Toyo AT as spare. Foam pad above spare to help with bed bounce.
Bed Bounce: Stiffer E-tires are worse than stock P-metric; biggest improvement from PRG mini-pack, slight improvement from shocks and foam pad above spare. Still a stiff ride but tolerable now.
Best things about this truck: 5.7 and transmission, interior size and comfort, very quiet at high speed.
Worst things about this truck: bed bounce, no VSC in 4wd, mileage sucks above 70.
This beep occurs when hitting multiple crater sized potholes at 30 MPH. Not every time but driving for 35 miles on a road full of holes, I hear it often enough.
Mine has a similar beeping but it only comes on during right turns. I can be turning right at about 5 mph and get the beeping or even just jerking the wheel to the right will do it. No wheel spin, no loss of traction, no pedal mashing, just normal driving. It comes and goes but still annoys me cause I here it then I'm looking down at the dash for some sort of idiot light and nothing is flashing or even coming on. I don't get it. Next service I will have the dealer check it out.
