Pics of the front of the 07-08 Tundra hood with no grill on it?

Any one have any full frontal hood pics without the grill on it? if so i can see what you will have to do to run the Sequoia grill on there

, I think it will work but I need to see the hood with no grill on it. Mr Sparks said NO! (and very quick i might add) when we asked if we could disassemble a new Tundra for this.

thought about that but the GM will be on the look out for us with tools on the lot, if we go out looking for long he comes looking for us to see what we are up to.........lol

Take a new Sequoia out and try to put that red grill on it. Test drive one...

You can't pull a Sequoia and Tundra hood from stock and put them back-to-back?

I think someone already tried this and found that the sequioa grill will not fit on the tundra. I did not search for the link, but I am sure that it was someone here that did try it.

from looking at the grills, the tundra bolts on and the sequoia snaps on the top section,looks like a simple clip install for that part, the first studs on the upper corners of the tundra grill are not onthe sequoia, it has threaded inserts there-put a bolt in from the back where the nut would be on the tundra for those.

thats the easy part, the lower mounting is where the difference comes in, the sequoia is wider down there-well overall really in the grill opening area-where the 2 studs on each side of the grill are on the bottom, the sequoia's are angled slightly different and wider apart, was thinking if the part of the tundra's hood where the 2 studs go in is just for that,the studs, and you could trim that off and move the holes out and mount the sequoia's there.

but i haven't seen the tundra hood without the grill on it so i'm really just blowing hot air so to say without that to see.

but if someone has tried it allready then oh well, i'm wasting everyone's time then...........

I don't know that anyone has actually tried it, but I do remember reading a thread where someone looked closely at the two vehicles side by side and thought the Sequoia's grille was not as tall as the Tundras. From looking at the bumper cover on the Sequoia I would suspect that may be correct.

I would love to replace the grill on my Tundra with something that eliminates the fake scoop at the top, the Sequoia grill would be great, but what I really want is the Grill that TRD displayed on the Bright Red RCSB show truck a year or so ago.

yup, it is longer on the bottom by about an inch, guess if you really wanted to run it then you would need the bumper cover also.

oh well, need to kill some time today anywho................

Get TRD to create the grill shown here, they would sell a bunch...
