I like the overlay...kind of cool.

I'm not a chrome fan... but it looks good!

how hard is it to spell out door? You write out every other word except one of the easiest words to type. Sorry to flame you for something so unimportant but its like a pet peeve of mine when people appreviate words that are only 3 or 4 letters long.
My computer must not want me to see such pictures cause I cant even enlarge the pics by clicking them or by opening them in a new window.
Oh well, but as others said, if you like it, thats all that matters!

I was curious as to how the pillars would look chromed & to tell the truth it's not for my truck, but if you like it good on you.

I'm more of a fan of the simple and sleek look...Little too busy and blingy for my taste...Looks like good craftsmanship though.

Default Re: My new dr sill and overlay.

I hate to say anything bad about a custom mod since I have so many mods on my own DC Limited, but you asked for some comments so here you go:

I just don't like the chrome pillars at all. They would look a lot better if you add solid chrome window vent shades instead of black, and also add the chrome or stainless rear door handle covers. Even then, the lettering on the chrome is nearly impossible to see and will only trap grease and dirt, and the mirror chrome will show finger prints very fast since that area is a prime handling surface.

Now the door sill covers are not too bad. I like the front better than the rear. I would probably go for a similar set on mine but with a different design which is less busy - maybe solid letters or fewer lines.

I am sure there are many people which don't appreciate some of the mods on my truck though, so to each his own. If you enjoy them then it was worth it.

Oh man, dog, looks way to busy for me. Looks similar to the small SUV's you see in Puerto Rico, only missing the Cameleon paint job, but then again, I'm from the sticks. Why don't they make any of those door sill protectors big enough? Is it because the seal on the door needs to hit the edge of the sill there? I do like how the tinted front windows came out.
