TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "2008 Tundra "snow plow"", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Purchased a 2008 Dbl Cab with the TRD Package and there is a possibility I will add a snow plow (prefer Blizzard or The Boss) but I'm looking for input from those that already installed one. Anyone with Pro's and Con's that can help with my decision is appreciated. This will be used to clear my driveway which is paved and about 300 to 400 feet long, plus I have a 3 car garage with a turn around area making more to plow. Thanks again!!

I also found some photos of an '07 or '08 Tundra with a Blizzard plow (I think they said the model was 720LT), and pics of an '07 or '08 Tundra with a Boss plow.
Hello Go to www.plowsite.com Its a snowplow forum, ask the pros there is a section for import trucks. Also read your extended warranty if you have one. I would go with the poly moldboard, save the weight. Steel is heavy my 8 footer weighs in at about 800lbs, its on a 1 ton not a Tundra. Hope this helps.
Ha!! The pic was just flipped by my camera setting Im not that good with them....but I must say, It doesn't even feel like there is a plow on when I drive it...and that is without using the 550# ballast they call for. Also I have the extended warranty for 7 years or 100K and the plow doesn't hinder that , well thats what my dealer said
Hello sld92e I wanted a plow on mine and get rid of my old plow truck, then I read the Toyota Platinum Agreement page 4 section 3 states "nor does coverage under this agreement apply if your vehice has been used for plowing snow, competitive driving, racing, or towing a trailer whose weight exceeds the manufacturer,s recommendations for your vehicle." My dealer told me there were 6 plows that would fit, some of the sales people tell you what you want to here kind of like some politician's. This and a few other things I was told is why will not go back to that dealer. I am keeping my old 1 ton for plowing.. Don't ask your dealer, read you book. Hope this helps some of you.
