Re: anyone do rear power slider mod on Double cab???
I am almost done with my rear window mod on my Limited DC. It uses the factory window and has cost less than $40 so far. As soon as the weather warms up a bit I should have it done and will share all the details. This is going to be great for the summer!
Note: I receive many messages about the NAV Speed Pulse Generator so I continue to build them for people on request. If you want one then just PM me via this forum and include your email address.
Re: anyone do rear power slider mod on Double cab???
CRL is CR Lawerence and they make very good and reliable Glass/Glazing products. Here is their direct link: ECT1565S
If you know a glass guy real well he may sell it to you for cost, probably around 250 but that is a guess. I no longer have my business or I would check the price myself.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the comments. I get a lot of messages from this forum and my mods site: people wanting me to make more speed pulse generators, questions about my existing mod reports, and many requests to finish my other mod reports. I try to help as many people as I can but the trick is to still make enough time to invent and install new mods.
I recently finished a bunch of my other mod reports and took the related pics so I am currently in the process of updating my website code. I hope to upload the new reports to my mod site within the next 2 weeks. I also hope to finish the power rear window mod in the next month, even if I have to take a few days off work to finalize the design and get it done. I absolutely have to get this project done for spring and summer: it gets to be as high as 90-110 down here so I need a good way to vent the cab and it really irks me that I can't open it from the front seat. What where they thinking?
Note: I receive many messages about the NAV Speed Pulse Generator so I continue to build them for people on request. If you want one then just PM me via this forum and include your email address.

I wasn't aware that any d/c has a power slider from the factory.

To my knowledge, they don't. Unless they added this for the 2008 model year. The previous generation Access Cab Limited did offer a power rear slider almost identical to the one in our trucks...pretty odd huh?

How is the slider going? I would really like to see it worked out.

I'm in the commercial glass biz...We use CRL all the time...
$250 is about right (at cost price from CRL)...I'd be curious to see how close the glass color matches the rear passenger doors. From the picture on the website...it looks too light.
I don't see any installation instructions...so I have no idea on how many labor hours your looking at. I think I've heard the factory ones are a B*^# to get out.
