I thought about getting mine Line-X'd to match my color. Haven't gone by for an estimate just yet. Painting them seems like a waste of time considering how much abuse they take. Rhino or Line-X will probably last longer. Then again, leaving them stock is by far the cheapest option.

Just my $.02.

I dont know about the abuse thing A lot of new cars have color matched flaps. I had a 94 accord with them and they looked really good after my wife drove it for 9 years.

You should paint the inside of them a nice glossy black with as smooth a surface as possible. That would help them actually repel mud.

But as for the outside? from me.

Technically, black is the absence of color.

ThirdHorseman will become famous soon enough.
Default Re: Colored mud flaps?

I had them done on a Titan since they were molded to match the body. It's pointless with the Tundra flaps...they are flat, not molded and look like generic JCWhitney fare.

I don't think I would want to draw the eye to them. They're functional, but I don't like the looks. I don't think paint would help.

Can I get some change for my .02?

Still to Come: Headers? Speaker/Sub upgrades? What else? Supercharger........? I'm sure I'll think of something.
