Completed my DIY Black Headlight Mod...

Well I finally did it after some thinking of how it look on my Blue Streak, so I been holding off for a while and decided yesterday to go for it since I still job hunting and have time on my hands and it warmed up for a few days here without rain. I think it looks good on the Blue Streaks too but now I am thinking maybe time to also black out my billet overlay too, more to decide now. I also went with a matte black paint to give it a factory finsih look.

Oh and I like to thank all that posted information on this DIY to help along the way, it saves other TS members from re-learning how to do this the first time. I know it saved me some time.

Yea, looks awesome! I just saw your other thread about you putting in the grill... I kinda think the black grill would now go better since you got the headlights blacked out...

Thanks all, I have to agree I think maybe its time to blackout the grill or maybe take it off and go back to stock. Ahhh so many choices

time to paint those mirror caps as well.

the chrome clashes IMO.

Looks good. Now replace that amber bulb with a silverstar bulb.

I used a duplicolor pain call trim paint its more a matte finish.

Actually its not a M3 but its my convertible 330ci with its winter hardtop on and a few other added bits and pieces that I done myself along the way.

Yeah I am not a chrome person either and the mirrors are on my short list of things to take care of, now just got to have some time and money. Doing a little at a time.

Yeah I used them in my other cars and trucks so there also on my short list to get replaced one day. I am also considering switching over to LED's
