This is a discussion thread titled "Positive Camber ??", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Does everyone else have enough positive camber to notice it with the naked eye? I had my alignment done a few days ago, and it looks like there is too much positive camber (top of the wheels tilting outward). I went to the shop to ask about it and they said it is within spec, and the alignment sheet they gave me says the camber is .5 and .6 positive. I'm just worried that it is too much since it is very noticeable every time I walk up to the truck.
I had the same thing after my lift was installed and the alignment was done. The numbers on the read out are perfect and I know the alignment tech well (he knows what he's doing) but to my naked eye the top of the tire tilts out. I have put 3000 miles on it since then and my tires are wearing normally so I quit thinking about it.

Good to know. My girlfriend keeps telling me not to worry about it, but I don't really listern to her
I would agree with AlaskaCub just keep an eye on your tire wear and if it starts looking weird get it checked out. It may just be the way it looks to the eye with the shape of the body/fender combined with the lift like I said kind of an optical illisuion.

I thought it might be an optical illusion, but the tire (where it sits on the ground) is bulging out more on the outside than it is on the inside. This tells me the tire is leaning putting more weight on the one side. I'm just going to give it a few thousand miles and see how the tires wear.
2K miles with too much positive camber could wear a tire quickly, i am surprised anyone has spec for the 08 Alignment yet? You must have lifted your suspension to be needing a alignment or have you driven thru Albuquerque recently?
that small a lift should not affect alignments too much but will cause issues but i would think a noticable lean would not be good? looking for upper limits of camber but can't find my sheet but with a lift not sure if you can stay at upper limits? do a search on here for some of DJ's post on lifts and alignments, a few searches and you can find a wealth of info, he is a Hunter Engineer and has lotta great info! he can't help he is from OK and a boomer sooner!!hehe!!
i thought i had alittle too much positive camber, but it wasnt that noticeable. i took it back and told them about my concern and they assured me there alignment guy is the best in the business. he said they get the camber set to 0. i know thats what is suppost to be. so far even tire wear.
