TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "StickerCity (tail light film kits...)", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Alright, I just ordered the Universal Tail Light Tint Kit from StickerCity.com. $62.90 including shipping for the Medium 20% film kit. FYI our tail lights require about 760 square inches (20x19*2) of film, thats with a little extra all the way around the light. DecalFX.com has a film kit that is 24x36 (864sq/in) for $59 shipped, however it appears to be just the clingy vinyl instead of having an adhesive backing like the one from StickerCity. I opted for the StickerCity kit simply because of the adhesive.
Will post pics and possibly a video of the install, as I know a lot of people have been curious about how to install the universal kits that you have to cut yourself. Another FYI: the universal kits are an average of $7-10 cheaper than ones that are pre-cut.

Hmm. If it can be easily removed I, personally, would not buy it. I want something that is going to be a pain in the *** to remove. The StickerCity kit has an adhesive, so it's like actual window tint but made out of vinyl. This way somebody can't just walk up and peel your film off and use it on their truck. And the fact that it's so inexpensive compared to the product that several other reputable companies offer strikes me as odd...but this is all just my opinion, and I'm by no means an expert. This will be my first time smoking a pair of tail lights and I'm just using my preferences to make my purchase. I'd hate to spend even $25+shipping just to have the chance of somebody being able to easily steal them.

I think the easy to remove stuff is probably best for me. It'll be nice to be able to remove it easily when I get pulled over for it . I think I'll get the cheep stuff that isn't too perminant and see how long I can get away with it. I really want to tint the head/tail/fog lights and windows but thats all illegal here so I'm sure sooner or later I'll have to pull it off again. Oh well
