Default My Doit yourself Backup Camera

I bought the Camera off ebay and Monitor is from the Costco wireless backup Camera kit. Way too much interference so I bought a hardwired camera..

I'm not using the wireless camera.. Just the monitor for now.. The Camera is generic from ebay but of the highest quality.

The Mount at the top is for my Nuvi 350 GPS.

Don't mind the Cluttered Garage.

Is that the stock camera bezel on the tailgate?

Sorry, I should have specified. No, you can't see the hitch with it..(Not a Hitch Camera) Which is fine for me.. I don't use it for that. I use it for parking assist and to make sure my kids moved their bikes, skate board ramps, etc out of the way.. but mainly for backing into spaces and checking out the hot chick behind me..

The camera comes with a few Angle adjustments.. so that's why you see it angled down a bit.

It doesn't look like it to me. I think the stock one is angled more down (so it is angled to have the hitch in view, and it was mentioned that the camera does not have the hitch in view). And the stock one I believe is mounted up next to the handle, not below it where you put your hand to open it. But I could be wrong...

I used the Pioneer ND-BC2 backup camera that came with the AVIC Z2X package. Works great. The first link shows the camera mounted in the tailgate release latch. The second link shows the camera image on the screen. When I'm approx 15 ft from the house, I can see from the hitch to the roof of the first floor of my home. It's a very wide angle, and surprisingly, not as "fishbowled" as you'd expect.
