TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Undercover, Visors, Sills, WeatherTechs PICS.....", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
PICS of Undercover, AVS Visors, Sills, WTs, Holster..
I had an Undercover, AVS Visors and Tundra Door Sills added last Wednesday, some WeatherTech FloorLiners that were added around Christmas and then added a paddle holster for my 357 yesterday. Carriage Works Grille next along with smoked film for all lights and some 20" Carved Alloys with and unknown tire size/brand as of now are next (still deciding on going with 275, 285 or 305). The minor adds/mods are starting to become a reality instead of a wish list; it really feels great! I think that I am going to keep my 18" styled steels and powdercoat them in black for next winter as well. I would like to see how my truck would look with the leveling kit and/or the 3 inch front and 1 inch back, if anyone can easily photoshop it.............

I love the holster! It's funny becaues with all the cubby holes in the truck, my friend and I joke how many places there are to put guns and other crap. How did you mount the holster?
Current Mods:
Rhino Liner, Volant CAI, Borla dual exhaust, 3"front/1"rear Toytec lift, 305/65r18 BFG AT K/O,
Future:
GPS, Sirius, Black Headlight (when I get the guts to do it!)
Pretty Cool Mod for the Holster / Pistol looks like a nice fit, I just carry my Sig 226 - 9mm on my hip .. I am still deciding where I would like to mount my Bushmaster AR-15 either a ceiling mount or under the rear bench seat.. gotta see which looks and fits better. ( Im swaying towards under the rear seat ) may be less of an attention grabber for the small cars passing me on the road, don't wanna give people heart attacks if they saw it as they pull up next to me and look up.

Thanks for the holster mount from all of you! I simply bought an Uncle Mike's paddle holster, then drilled 5 holes in to the inside of the glovebox side (2 on each side of the holster and 1 at the center top, and then put in pop-rivets to secure it tightly. I am very impressed with it and it is a good comfortable spot to have it while traveling so it is outside of my waistband inside the pants bianchi holster, but in a spot that is easily accessible.

That would be a bit intimidating for a passer-by! My brother had an AR15 that simply awed me with its accuracy in distance shooting.
How are the visors? Are they easily removable? That's one thing that's got me holding back - if I end up not liking them how do I get rid of them.
The paddle holster setup looks good. I run a Fobus "Rotoholster" for my Walther P990 and they've got an in-car solution. Basically the part that hooks to your belt or whatever (be it a loop, paddle, etc.) attaches with a screw so you can take it off and put on other attachments.

The visors are inchannel, but they do come with the 3M taping for added adhesiveness to the inchannel. They look great and I have no plans of taking them out. The in car solution for holsters sounds great..........
WTF? would you advertise that you carry a gun around in your truck? Do you live in the ghetto, are you in a gang or something?
Do you feel the need that you may have to use your gun while on the road? Do you live in area with lots of carjackings? If you do I say move the f*ck out of there. Is "tiger king" a gang thing?
Im having a hard time understanding why you would need to be hauling a gun around with you everywhere you go, do you piss a lot of people off?

Henry I couldn't agree with you more....I saw the pics and was just gonna ask the same thing, when I saw your post.
Is St. Louis that dangerous? Or maybe you're law enforcement?
Wow, you sure are a bit outraged about me taking advantage of my right to carry a concealed hand gun. I simply included the picture in my thread so that others with this interest could get an idea of how to make it more convenient to carry in your vehicle on long trips instead of in your waist holster. I do know that Illinois is actually a state in which you have to carry your gun unloaded in a bag or box in the vehicle and your ammo in a separate location. I am not law enforcement, but do believe in protecting my family and me when on the road in unknown areas on trips. No, I don't have people pissed off at me and I am not in a gang. Tigerking is just a name that describes my interests in tigers. I do have to say I respect your passion in your opinion. I felt the same way until I realized I can take advantage of a right given to me that offers me more protection for my family and property. I am happy that with my years of growing up and working with people of all walks that I may not agree with their ways, but I do respect them enough to hear them out in a way to try and understand the reasons for their ways.
Not sure of your angle with the question; however, if it is saying that I should not have a handgun because I have 2 kids, then you I would have to answer with the following: I have the handgun to protect my family if I would ever have to unfortunately use it. They don't just give you a handgun if you want one. The test is not difficult by no means, but you do have to attend a class and they do a thorough background check before issuing a license to carry. You can be assured that my gun is in safe-keeping and the kids can't get to it. When they are just a bit older, they will learn more about handguns and how they should be treated. My wife's father, grandfather, and brother in-law were all police officers with guns in the home. I can assure you that my kids are much safer now than when I did not have the gun. It does not give me a false sense of security and just to mention this also to the person in an above thread about moving if STL is that dangerous, it does not matter where you live just so you know. Crimes pick no neighborhood or particular walk of life. You have the right to not carry just as I have the right to carry; do whatever makes you most comfortable and safe and I will do the same. If I am not mistaken, most of the public shootings have occurred in suburban settings where people would not expect them to happen like at the mall in Ohio, the town hall in Missouri, school shootings in upscale neighborhoods, etc.
