Default Question about Nfab bars

I've looked at photos and can't tell how far out they stick. Do they stick out far enough to where they would be hit first before our truck (by another door)? It doesn't look like it.

Take a look at the pictures in the post I just did a few days ago. They do not stick out much more then the average step/nerf bar. If someone is hitting them with a door they were way to close to begin with in the first place and would have dented you body panels. Personally, I would rather have someone beat on the nerf bars all day then put dents in my doors.

just my $0.02. I love them and have 0 regrets thus far for choosing them over other steps.

Thats what I was asking. I want them to stick out a little to give me some sort of protection. I was getting out of my truck yesterday and rested my door against my neighbors (intentionally), and the paint on the edge of my door chipped off. <--- He wrecked it and hasn't driven it for over a year.

Thanks mxsjw. That helped out. And Toyota of Puyallup was great to work with. I got what I wanted for the truck, but not as much for the trade. Overall, very happy that I went from a car that gets about 25mpg to what I'm getting now.
