Its not easily removable. This type of box liner (over rails) is constructed as one piece, then installed.....So it would be hard to replace any one piece. Some liners are built for under the rails and I believe each piece fastens directly to the truck. With the Crewmax and lack of available templates, I had to take what was available.
I have friends who have this type of liner for many years without issue. Our climate does not get a ton of rain....We get a bit of snow, but our summers are pretty dry.......
If in five years you had a problem then you could pull the whole thing out, replace whatever parts you need to....
Re: Tailgate fix: It ain't too pretty but works...
Check out Dualliner. According to their rep., they are in process of making these for Tundras... should be released 2nd quarter. I know I'm getting one. Seems much more practical than spray-in or drop in liners.
Re: Tailgate fix: It ain't too pretty but works...
I thought about line x the plywood sides. I am unsure of how well it would stick to the plywood, especially now that it has been stained. The floor or bottom of the bed would not be line x.

When properly prepped, Line-X will pull the plywood apart at the layers before it actually pulled away from the face. A Manufacturing company I used to work for, used an almost identical product to coat their concert touring loudspeaker systems. My motorcycle ramp is also coated with it, and has been for about the last 5 or 6 years, it's not pulling away at all.
As far as the stain goes, I assume that would be a problem, but you could check with member "123Gone" to be sure, he's the resident Line-X expert.

LOL! Ah... I am one of those 5% of the people who really do use their truck as a truck which is another reason why it took me so long to sell my Ram 2500 for a Tundra. I would have used diamond plating in the bed, but that's just me.

I can tell you right now, the diamond plate would be worthless. I plated mine first thing just because the tailgate sheet metal is real thin, shortly after doing that, we all found out about the side cracks. I had a fairly heavy person stand on the plate and let their weight flex it and you can see the crack areas slightly separate from each other. It wouldn't do much good when loading a 700 lb. ATV. Ignoring the previous insult to Cliff, the plywood's a good idea--light, thick, very little flex.

Crap... I just realized that I'm gonna be in a world of hurt if I need to go down this path my my ATV's if I don't buy a Toy Hauler RV. Gonna be WAY, WAY over my payload just with the rack and atv.

I can tell you the ski will not eat up a spray in liner. I lined the whole bottom of my enclosed trailer and there is not so much as a scratch on it from my snowmobile. I was very concerned that this would happen when I did it, but I found out that it is some very tough stuff. Any this wasn't even Rhino or Line-x. I used Rattleguard on the trailer. Very impressed. I do have Line-x in the truck, however, because I got a great deal on it.

I can tell you that snowmachines will destroy a spray in liner as it has on several trucks I have owned. Its also the only thing the local spray in shop will not warranty the liner for, snowmachine ski gouges. The Carbides will slice through the spray in liner over time, trust me! If it hasn't yet, give it time. I wish I still had the Dodge so I could take a picture of teh slices in the liner, not like I really cared though. I dont see anything wrong with your liner Cliff other than you payed way too much for it. I would have skipped the wheel wells, and just done the tailgate and a sheet in the bed.
