Default Westin Oval Nerf Bars - Chrome...Question!

I'm hoping to get some info from others who have the Westin Oval Nerf Bars. I decided to purchase these for my truck, but while looking at several online sites, some sell the nerf bars with mounting hardware, and some sell the nerf bars and also offer Westin mounting hardware, but you have to pay extra. They claim you will get the perfect fit.

I'm hesitant to spend $100-120 extra for this hardware, if the regular mounting hardware would work just fine. I just need input from others who have these Westin oval nerf bars, or know about them. It sounds like most nerf bars line up well with Tundra mounting holes, and I'm hoping Westin brand also applies.

Any advice/info would be appreciated.

The cheapest deal (with the Westin mounting hardware) is $520 from TruckStuffUSA.

I had Westin oval nerf bars on my 2005 Tundra 4x4 (that I just traded in on my 08 Crewmax 4x4), they lined up perfectly well, the instructions were good and in the 30 months I had that truck I never had any problem with the truck or the nerf bars. They were solid and easy to install. If my new Tundra hadn't come with the Toyota nerf bars, I'd have purchased Westin bars again. They'll fit fine, just order the Westin model specifically for your 2007 DC 4x2.

Sequoia2003 has little shameless behaviour in the past.

good product, but also check out Smittybilt ->http://www.smittybilt.com/

I'm going with them only because I had them on my Rams and they were awesome. I do not like the ones from Toyota because they are only for looks and stepping on. The Smittybilt are way tougher, give you that classic look and provide better protection off road then all the others with the exception of Westin and ARB.

I purchased mine and had them installed for $375 , if would have known you don't have to drill holes on the Tundra I would have installed them myself. The installer took about an half an hour and it was done.

Thanks for the advice...looks like I'm ok with ordering the bars with the regular mounting equipment.

N-fab bars aren't for me...not saying I don't like them...just not my style.

Thanks again,
Jeff
