Cool Yet another MPG thread

I had to go to Atlanta for an industry seminar. It's a little over 200 round trip. I got 18.2 mpg driving at 68 mph. I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!!!!

I just got my Tundra in the last month and I have been wondering something. Is that what your truck says or did you verify it by filling up and calculating it? On a recent trip I did 300 miles. My truck said I averaged 18.0mpg. When I filled up and did the math I got 16.85mpg. 16.85mpg is still way better then my 5.4L F150 would have got.

5.7L dbl cab 4X4
On my first long road trip it did 20.9 mpg(using imp gal).
The computer was within 0.1 of a MPG of the filling up and doing the math.

This was calculated using the trusty cel phone calculator. The dash said 18.4.

On my last trip, on the way there, I averaged 21.5mpg. When I got home, the round trip averaged 20.0mpg.

I have a '07 DC Ltd with Borla exhaust, K&N drop in filter, nitrogen filled tires, and Low Pro bed cover.

IME the on board computer has been within tenths of what my hand calculated numbers have been every time I checked my mileage. Just dont get me started on the low fuel light and fuel gauge!..grin

Do you reset the MPG thing when you fill up.
