The only one I can remember I think was slate... probably the same guy. The black doesn't count on a black truck

True about Black.
My truck is going to be silver and was just thinking of different options.

I would go with the black headlight mod if I were you...I think it really makes a nice contrast on the front of the truck and looks a lot meaner...IMO having the headlights be the same as the truck color might be a little blah and bland. I love how it looks on my truck.

Ultra-Flat Krylon Fusion on the headlight housings and Gloss Black Rustoleum on the Toyota badge....Of course I applied adhesion promoter before all of that.

If your truck is silver I would def go with black. I think that color headlights would look good on darker colors but I think that the Black would look killer.

I mean, yea, the black looks good with almost every body color...but I kinda think it looks best on red.

My only concern with doing a color match would be actually "matching" the color. If i was confident enough that it would be exact I would do it. Knowing it won't be perfect I'm goin with flat black.

Yup...Also you hafta worry about the shade of color being different on different surfaces and make sure the coats are exact and that nothing including adhesion promoter alters the final color...Color matching the right way might be difficult.IMO

even if u got it matched perfectly theres going to be some visual differences once its reassembled because of the lense and over time as the lense ages it will appear to alter the color even more....again, just like the C6 lights, certain angles they can look slightly yellowed and i would imagine once the lenses get cloudy like all lenses seem to do nowadays, it will be even more apparent.

You mean like these lights...?

My dad got a C6 right when they came out and then got another one last year. I definitely like the color matched lights but I think it would be hard to duplicate with the Tundra lights. Not impossible though. Hope somebody does it.
