Default Tundra GRADE?

My 07 was totaled by a parking valet a few weeks ago. I'm still negotiating with the Insurance Co on a settlement, but in the meantime I need to start shopping for the next Tundra.
Since a front Bench Seat was, and still is a MUST HAVE, it looks like I'll be looking at Grade level vs. the SR5 I had. I havent had time to stop by the dealer yet to see one in person, but I have downloaded the e-brochure from the Toyota website.

Things that are a must have on the next Tundra:
DC 5.7L 4x4
front bench seat
tow mirrors
rear sliding window

Does anyone who owns a Grade, or been in one who can tell me the real differences between Grade and SR5, and if I can get all the above on a Grade?

Well yes you can get all the things you listed ... the DC and the Crew Max T-Grades have SR5 interior so you will notice no difference in that ... the outside, most of them are already ordered with Chrome Grille surround and Chrome Bumpers (but they are listed as options) so you will notice no difference there ... you will need to Add Tow Package because that is an option on the T-Grade if you need the hitch, 4.30 rear gears, coolers etc that come with the Tow Package, I think its a $600 option

I have an 08 CM Tundra grade 4x4 with the towing package...it doesn't come with tow mirrors, you need to add them if you want them. The tundra grade does have the sliding rear window, and bench seats, no bedliner, no tie down rail system, no foglights and not pre-wired for foglights. The interior fabric is SR5 grade material, just in a bench seat. The shift will be on the column instead of on the floor-center console. You can certainly add whatever you want, I just installed the factory backup camera yesterday, the truck is pre-wired for the camera/monitor because it has the tow package.

I sold my alloy wheels to someone last week that bought a tundragrade. His had a black grille and upper bumper cover, both easy to change. His had a bench seat, 5.7, it didnt have a sliding rear window but that is easy to change. The only thing his didnt have that he was most disappointed with was cruise. He said he got a smoking deal.

I have an 08 crewmax, tundra grade, ( bench seats ) 4x4, tow mirrows, tow package also added the fog lights and the front and rear sonar.

You should be able to do the same when ordering a DC.

Default Re: Tundra GRADE?

The GRADE trim level can include the 4.0L, 4.7L or 5.7L engine.

I dunno if it helps but I have a DC Tundra GRADE with the following:

Bench front (middle seat-back folds down into armrest/cupholders/storage/etc.)
Power Windows
Power Locks
Power Mirrors (not towing)
Cruise Control
Chrome grille surround and bumpers
No sliding rear window
Column shift

From what I understood when I got it is that it was the most basic Tundra you could buy (at the time I'm assuming). However, I have seen a few Tundras lately that are used for commercial work and have black bumpers and grille surrounds on white. So I figured at that point that you can get a stripped down Tundra as well. From what I know now though, the GRADE is power wdw/lck/mrs and cruise, at the minimum. The interior is the SR5 interior, but you don't get a center "console", just the armrest thing. It's actually quite large and I prefer it over the console. Plus I can ride 3-up in the front if I ever had to.

Love my Tundra GRADE

Default Re: Tundra GRADE?

I have also been looking for a Tundra grade because of the bench seat. It looks like just about everything that an SR5 has can be added on to a Tundra grade, except for the MPG computer and the buckets. It also will not have the 6 disc CD changer but that can be ordered. It looks like I will have to order one to get what I need.

You can also order an SR5 with a bench. It is still an option. However, they may be hard to find.

i have an 08 Tundra Grade DC with 8ft bed. Mine was ordered with tow mirrors, chrome bumper, cold kit, alloy wheels, and sliding rear.

With that said, i love my truck, has plenty of features and space. I believe it had the option to get the 6disc in dash, but i did not need that. my tundra grade is nice, it is everything i need and comfortable too
