I am also rather unimpressed by the spring pack. I also don't like the lift in the rear. I have since installed a self leveling rear air suspension kit. Having done that, I am even more inclined to remove the spring pack. The air system is really handy if you haul loads or tow much. Over all, I think the best mod I have installed is the rear sway bar. Just my thoughts.
How much water do you have in it Los211? or do you have an idea about how much weight it works out to?
Sorry its taken a while to see this. I really don't know how much water is in the Shurtrax. I have it about 1/2 full where before it was at seam splitting full before. I would guess the weight to be in the 150-200 lb range. I can still pick the thing up and move it fairly easy where before I could not.
Also on a side note my axle was shifted which caused the steering to be off. I had the left side 1/4" further back than the right which changed the thrust angle. I have since adjusted the axle and the steering wheel is now back to center.

I'm still impressed by the difference the minipack made, and it feels even better now that I have SAW 2.25 rear shocks valved by Greg
Does anyone know how these SAW shocks compare to Rancho adjustables? I have Ranchos in the rear with the Mini-Pak, but I am not totally happy with the combo.
Does Greg valve them specifically for the Tundra, based on what you tell him you want? Also, how much do they cost?
Well, I removed my minipak today (what a pleasure that was). I also installed rancho 9000xl adj shocks. In all honesty I cannot say that removing the minipak made any noticeable diff for the worse. It feels basically the same except the ranchos seem to really be working in canceling out the bounce aftershock which is my biggest complaint. I don't live in CA and have to put up with quite the road conditions some of you have.
Anyhow its also nice having the assend of my truck back to normal too.
I read all the way through this thread and never found the answer I was looking for.
I am very interested in the PRG mini-pack but still havent gotten a definite answer on how the truck tows with these installed and a heavy trailer or high amount of payload...?

Contact Greg directly at PRG Products or http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...prerunnergreg/. He installed my Frontier lift at his house. I was one of the first to buy his mini-pack for my Tundra, which eliminated about 80% of the bed bounce; new shocks all around eliminated the rest.
I don't tow or haul enough to answer your question directly, but Greg is about as honest as it gets.
You probably already saw Greg's comments starting on page 9 of this thread.
Good luck with whatever solution you choose. I think the majority who have gone with the PRG mini-pack are pretty happy. I know I am.

Rear Susp: ProComp ES3000 #326510 (2.25" taller than stock), 1.25" blocks plus PRG mini-pack (http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...and-new-truck/) gives 2.25" total lift, parking brake cable bracket spacers, wheel well height 43." Front diff and rear ds drop; trailer hitch electrical harness tucked up above bumper. After 20K miles swapped 305/65/18 BFG AT for 285/75/18 Toyo AT, still on stock 18x8x60 offset TRD wheels, about 1/8" clearance to sway bar. Like the extra height but miss the width. Next time either 305/70/, 295/70, or 35x12.50/18. Added 5th 285/75/18 Toyo AT as spare. Bed Bounce: Stiffer E-tires are worse than stock P-metric; biggest improvement from PRG mini-pack, slight improvement from shocks. Still a stiff ride but tolerable now. Best things about this truck: 5.7 and transmission, interior size and comfort, very quiet at high speed. Worst things about this truck: bed bounce, no VSC in 4wd, mileage sucks above 70.

You got me curious to throw my mini-pak back on.. I took it off a long time ago because I felt all it did was jack the rear end of my truck up an 1.5in and did nothing to improve the ride..
Now I'm 2nd guessing myself wondering if maybe my expectations were too high and I really wasn't being fair in my evaluation of it..
Nice weekend coming up. Might throw it on.. I also didn't have my Rancho adj shocks on the rear either when I had the mini-pak.
Do you know what product I could use to level out the front if I add the Mini-pak back on? There are several choices it seems and I'm at a loss as to what I would need to level the truck that's stock suspension except for the Minipak.
THanks!

There are many choices for leveling kits, but my preference is adjustable shocks up front because it improves the ride along with raising the height. I have Bilsteins, but I think Rancho makes adjustables for the front, too.
