TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Rides Like a BRAND NEW Truck!", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Just so you know my rear wheel wells are 1.5" higher than my front, but it looks level. I don't think an extra inch will really change your look, though you will probably need to tweak your headlights a little.

I dunno bout you but me and everyone that has looked at my truck immediately sees that it is raked. Now adding another 1" in the back is just going to amplify the look. Not a big deal for those who have lifted their front ends or just figure the higher up the better but for us stock suspension folks it is a big deal. Of course I absolutely hate the raked look so I am biased.
Note that my truck is lifted different amounts front and rear, so the way mine looks is different from yours if it is stock.
Yes, the stock rake is very noticable. My point is that one inch one way or the other is probably not that noticable, but 3 inches (stock rake) is. Thus if your 3 inch rake became 4 inches, I don't think it would really look any worse. If you really hate it, take the plunge and add a leveling kit to the front. There are a lot of them out there now so they are cheap and easy.
Seems worth the effort to me to get rid of the bed bounce. Maybe in a year or two it will actually make it into production. Toyota, are you listening?

Rear Susp: ProComp ES3000 #326510 (2.25" taller than stock), 1.25" blocks plus PRG mini-pack (http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...and-new-truck/) gives 2.25" total lift, parking brake cable bracket spacers, wheel well height 43."
Front diff and rear ds drop; trailer hitch electrical harness tucked up above bumper.
After 20K miles swapped 305/65/18 BFG AT for 285/75/18 Toyo AT, still on stock 18x8x60 offset TRD wheels, about 1/8" clearance to sway bar. Like the extra height but miss the width. Next time either 305/70/18 or 35x12.50/18.
Added 5th 285/75/18 Toyo AT as spare. Foam pad above spare to help with bed bounce.
Bed Bounce: Stiffer E-tires are worse than stock P-metric; biggest improvement from PRG mini-pack, slight improvement from shocks and foam pad above spare. Still a stiff ride but tolerable now.
Best things about this truck: 5.7 and transmission, interior size and comfort, very quiet at high speed.
Worst things about this truck: bed bounce, no VSC in 4wd, mileage sucks above 70.
I wanted to do the 3.5" rear drop leveling kit sold by TundraRacing but since it relocates the leaf springs beneath the axle they get in the way of the TRD dual exhaust pipe exits.
the 3.5" rear drop to level it out and then the 1" raise from the deaver springs resulting in a 1" rake is cool though....but I like my TRD duals too much! haha
Order my set from Greg this morning and was a pleasure to do business with. I think he is the first person Ive emailed and got a phone call response, and he answered all my questions indepth. He was also saying that he is in the process of buying his own Tundra and was also developing other products for us as well. I think these mini packs are gonna be great.
Awesome!!! He's answered the phone on a Sunday afternoon when we were having issues with an install...now THAT's service!
Here are the pics. You can see where the spring pack replaces the overload spring. The lift in the back is noticeable, but not OVERLY noticeable, IMO. I like a bit of rake anyways, so it works for me. I am raising the front with SAWs and UCAs shortly.
Here's a couple pics of the PRG mini pack, and a pic of the stance of my Tundra. The truck rides like it should now especially on the freeway. To order a set give Greg or Jen a call : PRG Products (951) 780-5331 if no one answers leave a message they're real busy, but they're good about returning messages.

Is that a V6 Tundra? I've never seen those steel wheels before, only the styled 5 spoke ones!
You take out the overload leaf, and replace it with a 3 leaf "mini pack"/ add-a- leaf.
Under the factory leaf pack but above the axle (in between), right?
Hence the 1" of lift?
I think I see where it goes in this pic...hope it's ok I modded it...
