By removing the overload spring, will I be defeating the TRD (off road) idea ?
Even though I don't want to reduce my payload, this is sounding more and more like something I want to do.

I'll definately be giving them a call. Is it easy to do in your driveway ????
I thought it was pretty easy, especially since pretty much every bolt is a 19mm. It was easier after I just took the whole leaf spring off the truck, and be sure to use big C-clamps to compress the springs together.
What all is involved in the install? Would it be a waste of time to take it to the dealer to do this?
I'm mechanically inclined, just never worked on this part before on a vehicle. Anyone care to elaborate/explain the install process, tools needed, etc?
Sounds like something I would be very interested in.
This is awesome News guys!. The one inch lift in the rear doesn't look anywhere near as bad as I thought it might.. THanks for sharing the pics.. I wanted an excuse to do the level kit in the front anyway..
Awesome!!! He's answered the phone on a Sunday afternoon when we were having issues with an install...now THAT's service!
Here are the pics. You can see where the spring pack replaces the overload spring. The lift in the back is noticeable, but not OVERLY noticeable, IMO. I like a bit of rake anyways, so it works for me. I am raising the front with SAWs and UCAs shortly.
In the photos it looks like there are some bolts missing from the C-brackets, didn't it come with them? That is usally the reason for the holes being drilled in them.
I would also be interested to see what would happen to your lift after you throw 1000lbs in the bed and drive around with it for a day. My guess is that it will settle down a little more and you might loose that face down 1" in the rear.

ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT MAKING A NEW POST??? TRY SEARCH FIRST!!!!!
Yes, they came with bolts and that is the reason the holes are drilled. However, I've learned through experience with these springpacks that after extended usage, the bolts just tend to squeak and sound irritating. This was the case with the Titans we ran the springpack on as well. So...I don't use them.
This choice is up to the user, but I've discussed this issue with Greg at PRG and he has assured me that the truck will not suffer as a result.
Don't know on the second part - I've never put 1,000 lbs in the bed. Probably 500 at most.
