The dealer is likely going to charge you an arm and a leg and then tell you that you voided your warranty because you altered the rear suspension, etc.. Which I know is horsesh#T!

You know how some of them can be..
My dealer is super cool. They take REAL good care of me, although I'm not sure if they are "allowed" to modify your suspension. The last time I took my truck in, it was for the 10,000 service. They thru me a free oil change, them rotated, balanced and checked air pressure in all tires. Then the put a mod on for me (took down the spare, inserted a cushion, then put the spare back up. Then they hooked up their laptop to it and activated the alarm. They spent some time trying to reprogram the recirculat feature, but couldn't. The bill came to $24.00. This dealership is awesome to me. Even if it would cost me a few extra bucks to have them do it, over another shop, I would rather give them my bussiness.

Same here. Everytime I bring my truck there I get half the shop sitting in it to see what mods I've done now. Don't think they've ever had a customer quite like me before

Another reason I am thinking about having the dealer do mine. You drive in, an hour later you drive out. No laying on the cold concrete, no skinned knuckles, no chance of me screwing something up .
i can't believe nobody wants to do their own work...i get a better peace of mind and better quality doing everything myself...

Here's a couple pics of the PRG mini pack, and a pic of the stance of my Tundra. The truck rides like it should now especially on the freeway. To order a set give Greg or Jen a call : PRG Products (951) 780-5331 if no one answers leave a message they're real busy, but they're good about returning messages.
Wait a minute... Are these the pics of the leaf packs that PRG is selling? The part # 1645F85????
This is an ACTUAL picture of the springs and pack right???
yeah.. I'm still wanting to know whats involved with installing these.. Is it something you can do with simple hand tools in your driveway or do you need any specialized tools, Ramps, Jacks, etc.. Anything to watch out for, etc.
When I put mine on all I needed was 2 c-clamps, jack, jackstands,a mallet and my electric impact( wasn't necessary but saves a lot of time.) The install was pretty straight forward, especially since pretty much everything you need to take off is a 19mm. Here's a write up for installing similar Deavers on a Frontier PRG 3" spacer and deaver install guide - Nissan Frontier / Navara Forum. When I did mine I used the mallet to help align the centerpin.
Looks to me like PRG is pimpin' old springs on the new truck?????
A lot of the Deaver add a leafs can be adapted to different trucks, I believe these are similar to but not the same as those. I wouldn't say pimping out, he just did the leg work and figured out what worked, for example Titan's and Frontiers use a similar pack as well.

Greg is a sharp and very trustworthy truck guru. He told me he found out after the fact that by including shipping he was losing money on the introductory orders but honored the price anyway.
He probably gets these wholesale and then sells them shipped for cheaper than you or I could buy them anyway. He's probably charging less than he should for the expertise he used to come up with what seems like the only proven idea to really fix the bed bounce. Even at $220 it's still a bargain.
I was lucky enough to get one of his early kits for the 05 Frontier (that was the first year of the new body style). Never a problem with that kit, and I am sure he has done his homework well enough for an equally good experience on the Tundra.
As much as people like to gripe, you can be sure someone will post if this spring pack doesn't work. Read this entire thread: everyone has nothing but praise for Greg and the mini-pack. I get mine tomorrow, but my shop might not have time to install it til Tuesday.

Rear Susp: ProComp ES3000 #326510 (2.25" taller than stock), 1.25" blocks plus PRG mini-pack (http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...and-new-truck/) gives 2.25" total lift, parking brake cable bracket spacers, wheel well height 43."
Front diff and rear ds drop; trailer hitch electrical harness tucked up above bumper.
After 20K miles swapped 305/65/18 BFG AT for 285/75/18 Toyo AT, still on stock 18x8x60 offset TRD wheels, about 1/8" clearance to sway bar. Like the extra height but miss the width. Next time either 305/70/18 or 35x12.50/18.
Added 5th 285/75/18 Toyo AT as spare. Foam pad above spare to help with bed bounce.
Bed Bounce: Stiffer E-tires are worse than stock P-metric; biggest improvement from PRG mini-pack, slight improvement from shocks and foam pad above spare. Still a stiff ride but tolerable now.
Best things about this truck: 5.7 and transmission, interior size and comfort, very quiet at high speed.
Worst things about this truck: bed bounce, no VSC in 4wd, mileage sucks above 70.

I'm confused You act like you're uncovering some conspiracy with negative implications? I was on the phone with Greg as he drove a loaner Tundra to Deaver to have the prototype springs fitted - didn't seem like a simple bolt-in from the previous generation truck.
Let's assume they did "adapt" an existing springpack (I have no idea either way). If they work, improve the ride exponentially, and Greg initiated the process of making them available for our enjoyment, what's the issue?
Assuming your detective work is valid, that would mean that a business that is owned and operated by a husband and wife team is selling a product for EIGHT DOLLARS MORE than a national manufacturer that has been in business for almost 100 years.
Just got off the phone with Greg. Great guy. As busy as he is I don't know how he can afford to chat at length, but he will. Price is now $219 since the first batch is gone. Let's remember one thing. We are still dealing with a new model truck that has room for improvement. As I told greg, some people will spend many thousands tricking out their trucks. Some of us just want to make minor improvements. From what I have read on this thread, and from what Greg told me, this will be $219 well spent. BTW, Greg said there is maybe a 5% reduction in payload capacity. That is negligible. He is also working on some shock improvements. He also said the Tundra owners have been absolutely the best people to deal with. Can't wait for my spring packs.
Not trying to uncover a conspiracy here, I was told when I talked with him that this was his design and is having deaver build it. Deaver changes their #s based on new designs. He also told me that they were putting his part # on it. When infact that is a Deaver part # and has been deavers # since 2000 model year. Just driving down to test fit at deaver is not prototyping a spring. Deaver doesn't even build their own springs. Triangle does, now I will conceed that they may have made a change to an existing product which is fine, but say so, don't try to tell me that this is "based on my design and specs" when it is just seeing if the truck will accept the existing product or that we made some changes to the springs they already make.
I just get uncomfortable when I get two different pieces of information. This is all.
I am playing devils advocate here. I was told one thing over the phone and even posted up good things, was a little unimpressed that he didn't call me back like he said he would, but he was busy and I let it go. But, if I get information saying one thing and then I find out information showing me something else, I get a little suspiscious. I don't care if it's a mom and pop shop or not, information needs to be the same.
It's not even a case of whether or not the previous Tundra parts work or not, its that I was told that it's a new design and to a certain specification, when the photo tells a completely different story.
I also could care less about his pricing. I'm not saying it's high, it's just that the part # is the same and that makes it a little questionable. I didn't even say that he was overcharging or even mention anything about the price so why is that even being brought up?
I was also unimpressed with some of the things that were said to me over the phone about other manufactuers, this is something I find very tacky and as a professional nothing should be said about another company if it is bad things.
So I bid good luck to PRG with their products and to you guys with your Deavers. Imdone
