Did the rear shocks raise the truck 2.5" as well or was the rear lift due to only adding a leaf?

The rear shocks did not raise it at all...the OME Dakar Springs replaces the complete leaf springs from the rear....the springs raised it 2.5 inches....

Man that looks good...Definitely sitting up really high in the back. I'm looking at doing either 4-6" up front for a level look so I could possibly use those same dakar springs for the back with a block or something...Very cool. You said it rides softer than stock in the back??

They ride softer in the rear...even though they lift, I think OME got it together and got good ride and lift! I have the OME's all around on my old Land Cruiser Wagon, and it was the same story, nice lift with great ride and articulation. They have been making great leaf springs for a long time...I hope switching from Australian build original OME's to OME Dakar which are made in Malaysia didn't lower longevity.

If you get a chance could you snap some pics under the back of the truck? I'd be interested to see how it looks with the 2.5" lift leaf springs under there...Thanks!

Default Re: OME Suspension System Report

Just another observation...on the stock rear set up (non-TRD), the shock was the limiting factor in droop....when one rear wheel was stuffed into its wheel well and the other side was drooped down, it drooped additional several inches after removing shocks. The OME shocks have overall longer stroke and should aid in articulation.....
