I used a 20 amp fuse, The 12 v hot lead goes to spade 30 on the relay, the factory horn wire goes to 86 and the ground is 85 i think one horn would be fine, two would be cool.

I did exactly like the lower left diagram shows. Instead of cutting the stock wire, I noticed inside the clip was the exact same type of connection and it just slides right on. I think it went to spade 86. I did a 12 guage wire from the battery terminal to #30 with an in-line 20 amp fuse.

It is loud enough for me right now. It is way better than stock. I am sure a month from now I will want a second. I would wait to hear a sound clip of someone who did two and see if you really hear a difference. I set it off for my wife and she said...."Sounds great. Sounds like a cruise ship!" She agreed that it is more fitting for the size truck that it is.

i wouldn't bother with a second one. the difference is very minimal. you can barely hear a difference in the video clips. i'm going to dig up my SPL meter and measure the difference between one and two horns. once i find the dB difference, i can calculate how many it would take to actually double the volume (10 dB increase).

the stock brackets were way too flimsy IMHO, so i found some angled brackets laying around the shop to use:

i forgot what size drills i used, i can get that tomorrow if anyone needs it.

i cut and ground the brackets to fit better. this pic is after i sandblasted them to prep them for black oxide:

here's everything installed, brackets blackened, and wires zip tied to secure them:

Just got back from dinner and did a little video clip! Definitely would like to know if there is any db difference with one or two because I was thinking of ordering another one lol.

Is it just me or is this thing impossible to find? I don't want to order it from somebody I don't know in Australia for double what everyone else here has paid for and short of going to Italy directly, nobody on the list mentioned in earlier posts will respond to email. So, if somebody knows of a place to get these things at a reasonable price, please post it here! Honestly, this has got to be one of the most frustrating things to look for/buy so far out of all the mods... who would've guessed that finding a decent horn would be more difficult than CAI and exhausts!

I don't know man. The two sounds like a frickin' train coming through. I especially like how the horn continues to echo off of everything after you stop blowing it.

Your installation is kick ***!!! Makes me jealous compared to the way my turned out.

Ok finally done with my Truck horn install!!! It took me awhile to figure out what to use for a stiffer bracket but found something layin around the garage. Anyway, after install I had my son blow the horn and man that horn is loud!!! However my son wanted me to hook back one of the stock horns to see how it would sound with the Stebel. Well if anyone of you haven't tried this yet you should!!! I honestly think it is louder with the one stock hooked up!!! So I left it on! You gotta hear it!!! Now to go out and try this horn Here is some pictures of my install.

That is funny!! I just re-hooked up one of my stock horns and it tranformed from Semi-truck to a train coming!!!! And it is definitely much louder. Seriously, the mixture of tones sound exactly like a train. So if you want a truck sound, I would go with two Stebel's. If you want a LOUD train sound, I would go with one Stebel and one stock.

Post a sound clip! I'm thinking of doing that too cuz I left the one stocker in there just unhooked because I thought it wouldn't sound great with the Stebel but from what you're saying I might hook it up with the Stebel...SOUND CLIP PRETTY PLEASE!
