Mine are both in as of this AM...I just used the stock brackets, and put an S-bend in them to move them closer to the rad, but not too close. The sound is good with two, but kinda wiah I had two-tones....it sounds kinda funny with just one tone. I'll get used to it though. I already got to use it when some tool on his cell was straddling the double yellow on a country road. Had to wake him up.

Forgive the camera phone photos...

Engine compartment with two separate 12 ga leads and 20A fuses going to the positive terminal

Front shot of horns.

pulled out my old cheap ratshack meter today and measured the horns. one horn measured 114 dB and two measured 117 dB at the same distance. so to reach nearly double the volume, we'd need at least 8 horns (9 dB increase). 10 dB's equates to double the volume.

i might try hooking up the stock horns as well tomorrow to see how it sounds. two stebels plus both stock horns = really effin loud

i want people to fear my truck coming down the road so far i've got the stebel horns. i'm in the process of upgrading from H11 to H9 headlight bulbs, the high beams to HIR1's, and my 5" hellas from 55 watt bulbs to 100 watt bulbs next i'm going to have a custom exhaust system fab'd up.

Yea I'd say I have a little intimidation factor on the front of my truck too with the 8" KC rally 800's and my 6" Hella 500's along with my Nokya white bulbs in the low beams and my Sylvannia euro bulbs in the running lights.

I think it sounds really good in person...The combination of tones makes it sound a lot more powerful for some reason.

I was trying to fool you guys into thinking it was not much of an upgrade.

Damn, I spend the day with the family and you guys go nuts. I am loving seeing the different routes everyone has taken with this thing. I am re-plugging in my stock one tomorrow to try.

the fundamental frequencies reinforce the sound waves making them more powerful. its pretty much how certain bass reinforcement processors work for subwoofer systems. they add in the upper fundamental freqs at levels that you can't hear/distinguish, which makes the original bass note sound much louder. hearing and the perception of sound is quite amazing i've spent years learning and researching on my own for car audio purposes.
