that's pretty standard for USPS delivery confirmation. it means the shipper has processed the label, and possibly dropped it off, but not necessarily. give it a day or two and it should update the tracking page or it'll be delivered.

Hey guys, has anyone noticed when driving at night, lights on of course, that the lights dim when you honk the stebel? I noticed this last night, sure hope I didn't do anything wrong. Does the horn have this much draw?

Errr... that seems a bit strange. How did you wire it in?

how many do you have and how did you wire it/them? they draw a good bit of current, and its an instant on, which can cause a slight voltage drop. but a slight drop is all it takes to cause headlights to dim a little.

Mr. Wake,
Have you noticed anything like this with your setup? I haven't received mine yet, but if I recall correctly, the Stebel is fused at 20A? I wouldn't expect a load like this to have a noticeable effect...

Thoughts?
i honestly haven't honked the horns at night, so i can't say for sure. but an instant 20 amp draw *could* cause enough of a voltage drop to see the light difference. a very slight change in voltage can be very noticeable. the tunda has a pretty good charging system, but you can even see the lights dim slightly when you hold the window roll up button after they are all the way up. the reason why i was asking about how it was wired is because if the wire is too small or it is not grounded well, there will be an increased current draw due to the increased resistance in the wire/ground.

well i just took a quick measurement of the voltage. truck idling with headlights and fog lights on was 13.88 volts. using the min data hold on my voltmeter (craftsman clamp meter), it dropped to 13.13 volts. keep in mind that i have two of the stebel horns and both stock horns connected. if i have time later, i'll disconnect the stebels to see how much of a voltage drop the stock horns cause. the stebels are supposed to draw less than 18 amps, so two of them would be between 30 and 36 amps current draw, which for an instant on device is a decent amount.
