Any one try adding one of these yet? I was wondering what would happen if you added "The Big Mamma" to one of our existing Stebel truck horn and twin stockers!
I added the "Big Daddy" and the "Big Kahuna" and kept my existing 2 stock horns (6 horns in total ). So thats two of the 300 Hz horns, plus a twin tone 530Hz and 680Hz horn, plus a 410Hz horn, plus the stock horns!

The first step to getting help is admitting you have a problem. Next thing you will be posting is that you are carrying one of those air can horns like they use at sporting events and honking at people while you are out walking.

Well, I rewired up the two stock horns in conjunction with my new Stebel -- you're right, it DOES sound like a train!! Got to use it for the first time this morning, a woman did a lane change right in front of me in a Lexus while on the phone and holding her coffee! I laid on the horn from about six feet behind her bumper. Never saw the coffee cup after that! It was hysterical! She really jumped, and the car next to me hit the brakes, too! I can tell I'm gonna have fun with this thing...
Put my new Undercover tonneau on last night, too, what a great cover! Looks great and the installation was easy (except for one goof on my part, it was done in about 15 minutes). All that's left are the right floor mats and the USA SPEC PA12-TOY iPod adapter, both of which are on the way, and the ride will be suitably pimped!
OK, here is my completely non-technical illustration of the tone and volume.
I turned the microphone gain as low as possible on my laptop (any other setting would just blow the recording). I then set my laptop between the road and my truck on the driveway (this is about 10 feet). You can hear the traffic passing by (barely due to the fact I turned my microphone right down). The laptop was on the walkway whilst recording (and I am watching it, to make sure it stays there!). Cars are passing whilst I record. I'm virtually all packed away here ready for my move to Texas, so I apologize for the lack of recording options
a few diodes and capacitors and you could get them all to turn on nearly the exact same time. i'm contemplating doing it with my stebels and stock horns to eliminate the delay between each set turning on.

The two stock horns sound first, and at first I was a little concerned about that. However I figured I could not speed up the Stebel's (they have to build pressure), so the only thing I could do was delay the stock horns. I prefer instant gratification when I press the horn (and an instant warning to others). Its one reason I left the stock horns on when I noticed the air horns have a small delay before they sound.
A quick press of the horns is enough to attract the distracted drivers attention, whilst a full press will wake the dead. Its kinda like the way I use my horns now - a quick tap for "hey buddy, the light is green", to a full press "hey moron, your moving in to my lane" etc.
