I am the original poster and mine is still going strong!!! One thing you need to pay attention to is the way you mount it. The opening should always be facing down so no bug guts or water gets in and ruins it. Try to to blow it in a hard down pour because it could suck water into the tiny compressor. If you follow a few preventitive measures, I see no reason why this horn shouldn't last a long time.
Also, you can attach a tube to the air intake of the horn with the included adapter. I have yet to do this but I will take the tube to the engine compartment so it gets clean air and doesn't suck in any water.
Here is a picture of how I mounted mine before I cleaned up the wiring. I used Stebel's factory mount bolt and drilled a hole in the center vertical support bracket for a quick no-bracket install. I also used some 14/4 trailer wire for a ruggedized run since it was already sheathed. I didn't have 12 guage wire so I used two of the 14 guage wires for an overkill on the power lead. The negative is already a 12 guage wire. I also used the passenger-side horn wire for the relay signal (white wire):
This gave me about 1.5" to 2" clearance between the horn and the radiator as shown:
I mounted the 12V relay near the battery and ran the white wire to it for signal while attaching the 12V source directly to the battery with 12Ga wire.
Here is a final shot after I covered the wiring with convoluted tubing to protect the wires and keep the front end in front of the radiator all black. You can easily see the plastic air input fitting on the lower front that I'm going to attach some tubing to as soon as I get a chance:
Sounds great when combined with the two factory horns.

Just added it to my existing 2 stock ones. First impression from the driver's seat: yeah! it's loud, different.
But then I came to show it to my buddy, and told him go to the hood I want to show you something. He expected me to open the hood, but I just blasted the horns, by the expression on his face I thought it's time to change the diapers. He was like, man that is loud.
I asked him to blast it when I was upfront and can tell you, you can not compare this sound to the one you hear from the cab, it is so freaking loud! Like one of those train horns. Really recommend this one!

Im LMFAO....Shane, you ROCK !!!!
I had a guy try to force his way onto an off ramp in front of me. I laid on the horn, needless to say he missed his exit. I was TRIPPIN...
This horn is by far the BEST mod and investment that ive made since buying this truck.

Hey,
I just got mine up and running - it is awesome. I added mine to the two factory horns and there is no doubt that if you pull out in front of me you will think you are about to be hit by a train!
Special to jliltd for the wiring diagram - it made it much easier.
As a funny side note I was chatting to a friend online and she asked if this new horned played Dixie - I said no, it plays "get the $%^& out of my way!"

Still hasn't fixed it's self and I haven't bothered to pop the hood and take a look...I'll try to dig into it within the next couple days.

I figure it must have went when we had our big snow/rain storms and I was blasting it to get people out of the way. Must have had some extra moisture on the relay or on the in-line fuse.

Mine did the same thing....and those fuses are odd too! I wonder what the current draw is on that horn plus the two stockers?
