Yes, if you want to us DR's or slicks or whatever the Mickey Thompson's are, by them both in the same size front and rear. This will eliminate any kind of binding issues since the tire are sized the same and expensive repairs for you which would likely occur running to different sizes.

The transfer case splits power to the front and rear tires, going with say a different, smaller circumfrence front tire would be along the same lines as changing the ring and pinion gear in your front differential to say 4.88's. When driving your front and rear tires will be spinning at very dirrerent RPM's causing major probs for you and your wallet!

Good luck! keep us posted. should be getting some pretty hard launches i'd guess with 4 drag radials spinning though!

Drag radials stick infinitely better than any normal street tire. Unless you have a very serious machine, a set of drag radials on the back axle and staying in 2WD should be good enough.

So I went back to the track this Friday with the 09 Doublecab. I'm learning something new and getting faster after every trip. Sorry that I didn't get video of the run this time, but the track wasn't hooknig at all and it was unexpected to drop from 13.8's-13.6s down to low 13's. But I got a picture of my slip. I was down in Monroe, La at Twin City Dragways. I WILL Be into the high 12's here shortly, especially If Toyota will get my software in .

Well Here is the slip, Because no proof, It didn't happen.

...I have no tune... I just got lucky with the new ecu..it learns pretty good. When I get the flash I'll pick up a good bit in the quarter. Currently It's sitting on the rev limiter approximately .750sec throughout the run. So with just the re flash, transmission tuning and other changes I figure it should be around to .300 to .500 quicker through the quarter.

Great times Cater! Reflash and tune(urd or unichip w/custom tune) and sounds like you'll probably be in the 12's running those slicks! Now just need yourself a valve body upgrade on the tranny to firm and speed up thos shifts! It would probably be good for .3-.4 tenths im guessing if not more!!?? The truck shifts 3 times in the 1/4 and pretty sluggishly IMO at that. I will be doing this uprade as well in the next few months just trying to set aside the cash! IPT tranny's does awesome work!

13.1 is damn good. With the tune and cooler weather I'm sure you could hit 12's. I need a blower too!
Here is the Thunder Road Raceway website. Thunder Road Raceway Park is a 1/4 mile dragstrip in Gilliam, Louisiana
I might make it out there this saturday for the Outlaw races and then on Aug 22 is the import challenge night. You should come on out on the 22 if you can.

SRT: If I'm around then I'll diffidently try to make it. Well if I am within a few hours of the track. I've been there a couple years ago on a import night, it sounds like a heard of west-Nile mosquitoes out there.

If imports aren't your thing the def. come out to one of the Outlaw nights. Barley legal street cars running 4-5 second eighth mile and 9-12 second 1/4 mile cars. I like imports as well as muscle, so I go to both.
4 hours is quite a drive though, but I would love to see the Tundra run. Everyone was pretty impressed with me running that 14.6 . They would crap their pant's if you came out and busted some high 12's low 13's.

Like I said if I'm around the area I'll try to make it. I'll probability make the 5 hour drive to memphis Friday. I like imports, its always fun looking at the stickers in my rear view.
