Yup...it does have quite a fender gap doesn't it?

I figure I could go ahead and help you out with those tires on the track. When you get them, you'll notice a line on the side wall about 2" from top of tread. let the pressure out of the tire until that line is almost touching the ground. It seems to be about 16-18psi On my 305's. on the burn out... Drive through the water box, But the truck in S mode, Put it in second start to power brake using about 1/2- 3/4" throttle, when it shifts to second give it full throttle then shift to third and let er go. Make sure you have some white smoke before you let er rip down the track for a john force burnout. Stall out with good bit of brake pressure at about 1700 RPMS. When the last yellow light comes on, let off brake and stomp the gas and your on your way.

Oh and don't forget to put it back in drive before you get staged.

It sounds like a poorly prepared track to me. You can-not run with ALSD on. the TRAC will engage every time. The 13.5 vid I posted was with ALSD on, and it was a prefect run and .4sec slower than with ALSD off. I had that problem at a poor tack, I had to just power through it. It would hookup when shifting to second, and jerk a knot in my arse. But basically, you need to get to a good track.

Another option is to go to a auto-parts store like auto-zone or a speed shop, and get some VHT trackbite. If it comes in concentrate, dulute it with some methanol.

As far as the burnout, if the tires are smokeing its a good burnout.

Your not in the 12's if your running 8.8 1/8. Is it because of you location, or your just not hooking? If you get off to a good, 1/4 track down south I do see you in the 12's. pretty easy.

So since a 4WD Reg Cab can hook up better, can those reach 12s? Even with the added weight of the 4WD?

How about slicks on some 17" wheels?
