I am torn between 18" rims and 20" rims. Between 32" tires and 33" tires. I did a search on this and noticed a few guys that went 20" rims with 33" tires hated the way the truck drove afterwards. I would like to have the best of both worlds. A great looking truck that drives great as well. I never go off road. What are some of your thoughts?
Because I am a biter, my set up would be 20' Goliath rims with 33" Nitto Grapplers or 20" Goliath rims with 32" Nittos or totally different and go 18" Goliaths with 32" Nittos. All of this with a 3 and 1 Truxx lift. Help!!
I would go with 20" rims of your choice and for tires I would go with the Cooper Zeon LTZ's...I had them on my truck for a little bit and they were very smooth and road pretty quiet for an aggressive cool looking all terrain tire. From what I've heard the BFG KO's ride pretty rugged and the others tires you mentioned do also...The Zeon's probably aren't as good off road as the BFG's or the Toyo's, Nitto's, etc but they look just as cool and still ride nicely while not adding so much weight too. I think they're only like 54lbs a piece instead of like 60-70lbs for BFG's, Toyos, Nittos, etc. I think the Zeon's for 20" rims are about $190 a piece so they are cheaper also...I know Benito has the Coopers on his 20" KMC Rockstars so hopefully he'll chime in and show you some pics of his sick rim/tire combo. Good luck.

He said he never goes offroad though. I think he cares more about looks than how functional it would be at offroading. Thicker sidewalls would be better for offroading and to a person that does not go offroading a lot might not look as nice as slightly bigger rims and a little less sidewall like with the Coopers.IMO

Go with the 20's and the nitto's 305/55/20. Just got mine on this weekend with the truxx (will have pics tomorrow). The ride is great without road noise. Never had coppers, but cheaper is not always better! Neither is more expensive (BFG).
I researched and some people were getting 60,000 plus miles on there nittos.

Considering you live down in SoCal I would go with the 20's. If you lived up by the mountains where there is snow and other adverse weather I would recommend the 18's.
I'm looking at a set of 18's at some point and a little wider BFG All Terrain with a Camburg setup.
