TKIEU83,
Plug the socket into the relay, splice 30 and 86 together just a few inches from the socket replay, and leave a pick tail, another words when it’s finished it should look like a upside down Y. Add the spade connector to the end of this connection, and another one on wire coming from 87; plug both of them into the fog switch relay. And follow the rest it does work

thanks hoffmavl, i'll try that on thursday my day off, based off the instructions, i just wired the wires straight to the relay, did any of you have a hard time, connecting the large wire from the relay to the pink wire under dash? pink wire is very thin.....

This was so easy and so quick to do, but the only pain is just the wires are so short for stripping and splicing. I did the jumper wire option only. Everything is fine. I will try to take a pics to post here when I get the chance.

anyone else besides me wire this to work with the parking lights? the feature i like the most is that you can leave the switch in the parklight position and they turn on and off with the key.

With this mod you must have the parking or headlights on for the fogs to work.
Frank (or anyone else with a multimeter) can you check if terminal 1 (green wire) at the OEM fog relay has voltage with the parking or headlights on? I don't have a 2nd-gen Tundra to test, but I may be right since it's from the taillight relay. If it does, the mod will be even cheaper to do
Hey everyone,if you read Frank's pdf of this modification http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...htseddiev1.pdf the gray wire at connector AJ10 is cut instead of the light blue wire I indicated above.
He did this because access to connector AJ10 is easier than to the blue wire going into the body ECU. Other than the change in where the ECU "FFGO" connection is bypassed, this is still the same mod.

This is how it looks like as per Frank's document ...

Again, this is still the same mod I originally posted,Frank just found a better location to bypass the body ECU wiring. Thanks again Frank for testing and verifying that the mod works

Would these mods work without a foglight switch? My car right now has no foglights installed therefore no switch. If i were to buy the fog lights without buying the switch for the steering column would this mod work if i were just to turn on the headlights?

No. I don't think that your truck will have the relay or the wiring installed.
You probably need to read this one:

If you have the wiring harness, then you will need to install the fuse, relay, and fog lights as described in mhadden's OEM Foglight Install DIY. All you will lack is to supply a ground on pin 2 of the relay (gray wire). There are several ways to do this including just grounding it (be sure to cut the wire), but I would recommend at least a switch or some variation of the Anytime Fog Lights.

My 09 Tundra didn't come with fog lights. I want to install them as cheaply and easy as possible. I know the wiring is there from the fog lights to the relay/fuse panel. Can I use a SPDT 30 amp relay with the signal to turn on the fogs by jumping from the headlight relay? I really don't need a dash mounted switch and I want the fogs on anytime the headlights are on.

Hello, does anyone know if this would work on a 2005 Tundra DC with day time running lights? Or if you can point me in the right direction, thanks. Frank

I believe this is what most want...
I also believe with another relay, you tell me, the fog lights will go out when the high beams go on. I believe we here have a law where only 4 front facing lights can be on at a time.

Thanks

Rodney
Hear in MN I we have The law where only 4 front facing lights can be on at a time. I would like to see the lights work with driving and/or headlights put go off with high beam Would that be possible?

i'm about to do this mod.

i have one question though.

Option C says the fogs will stay on 2 hours after the ignition is turned off. why would anyone want my fogs to stay on 2 hours?

or will they cut off whenever i use my key fob like my headlights do?

No. Option C wires them to the power outlets which stay on for 2 hours after the key is turned off. Actually I thought it was 90 muniute, but that's not important.
